--If there's one thing we've learned over the years is a empty dish means trouble when it comes to cats and dogs. Cats like to eat a little bit all day long. Except those whack a doodles who just can't stand the sight of a full dish like Jinx and Squash. And make it there sole purpose in life to empty it as soon as possible. Leaving Dinky to whistle in the wind when it's his time to eat.
--Being the gentlemen that he is he usually makes his displeasure known by chasing Squash around and giving him a swat for his troubles.
--Everyone sees this and makes Dinky out to be the villain in the spot light. I’ve tried to explain to them time and time again just what in Sam hill is going on but for some reason it's easier to blame poor old Dinky. Probably because if they didn't they would have to remember to give the fools some food. And that would mean less time for their own little agenda's.
--Try as I might I seem to not be able to keep the dang fool dish filled. So every once in awhile Dinky and Squash go at it. The children have to be reminded to check the dish and get the dang fool cat some food.
--Of course it would be so much easier if everybody looked out for everybody else but I guess that day hasn't gotten here yet. Maybe someday soon. For now it appears we need a few little reminders of our responsibilities to each other....
