--Finally after many years of service the old microwave gave up the ghost. The morning was short of course it being an appliance and all. Oh course my wife put a stop to my plans for a midnight burial bless her heart. Apparently I get carried away sometimes. As she's more than happy to point out that fact.
--Gathering enough jingle to get a replacement was a tad sticky. And then there was the get along with out one effect. Which is a real pain in the neck.
--Keeping in mind that things usually happen in threes. I had to have a long talk with the rest of the appliances before we left to get the new one. You know the one, just to make sure their were no shenanigans when we got home so nothing else broke down. Apparently appliances can be a little snobbish when you try to bring a new one into the home.
--I sometimes think it would be so much easier if they all got along.
--Of course my wife endured my shenanigans with her usual attitude of it's best to just humor the big old whack a doodle. And let him get it out of his system.
--The experience at the store was very enlightening. Apparently microwaves come in all shapes and sizes which prices to match. But after careful consideration and color of course. We were able to get one and not work our way closer to the poor house as a result.
--Of course unpacking the dang fool thing was time consuming. It’s amazing just how much packing material can be packed into a box. Then there was all the introduction that had to be made. First to the children of course and then to the other appliances. As I explained to my wife I was just trying to keep everybody happy.
--So far everything has been going well but unfortunately the coffee pot and toaster and been a little snaky. Apparently they are feeling a little left out. So I had a father to appliance talk with them.
