--You shopped around. What store's that are left, you've made your selection based on many thing's. Price durability reviews, and availability. And you've chosen the one to fit your budget. You've got it in the cart and of you go to find a register that's open.
--They scan it up and along comes that fated question. "Do you want the extended warranty with that.?"
--My answer is usually no because half the time whatever it is I'm buying doesn't last half as long as it used to. So what would be the sense really.
--What I can't figure out is if it's a customer service their trying to provide. Or just another in long line of attempts to reduce the amount of jingle in our pockets. Or are they really trying to tell us something about what it was we just bought.
--Whenever we are forced to buy something because of fate we always save the box and all the packaging for the first year. Just in case we don't make it that far.
--If after the first year whatever it is, is still working than the box in considered far game for disposal. Because usually that means it's going to work for awhile longer or break down there after. And were going to need the space for a new box....
