The little things...

--Preparing to leave the house on a cold winter's day I often wonder if the early explorer's went through what we have to go through. I mean sometimes it's almost unreal.
--The first step is to gather the children and leave instruction's for everyone so their occupied. Because you know what they say about idle hands getting into mischief . Pet the cats, reassure the dogs we'll be returning and the won't be left with a bunch of lovable but addle minded children to take care of them. And then if were lucky leave the house.
--Once outside theirs the outside cats to deal with. Keeping in mind that the reason their outside is because they couldn't handle the stress of finding the cat box. And instead choose to play hide and seek with their poo.
--Tiptoe trough a minefield of poo from the porch to the car. Because there's nothing worse than hot poo on somebody's shoe's on a could winters day while riding in a car.
--If were lucky and start early the whole thing takes 10 to 15 minutes. If not while that's usually why were late for every appointment we've tried to keep over the years.
--But really I wouldn't trade a minute of it, that's what being married with children is all about. The little thing's...
