--The
other day while waiting for WAFFLES to finish exploring the dang fool front
yard, I happened to remember picking apples when we were younger and I might add a lot more agile.
--It
always seemed that the biggest apples were the ones we couldn't reach. Or so
far up you had to be part spider monkey to get to them.
--It
would seem that the only thing left was for one of us to stand on a sturdy limb
and shake it a bit until some of that fruit fell. Where the other's would promptly
pick it up.
--Of
course the fella in the tree doing the shaking usually got pelted by most of
the falling fruit but it was worth it because they were usually the biggest and
sweetest.
--Now that I look back on it I couldn't help but
marvel at how mother nature and the universe were teaching a life lessons even
back then. Sort of makes our wonder I suppose what they've been teaching lately
while we were be distracted
