THE COFFEE CAT....

--Usually after a hard night of tossing and turning all I want in the morning is a cup coffee and quiet. What I get is far from that but I try to make do. Because anything else just takes too much energy before my coffee.
--Well this morning was going pretty good I had my coffee and was watching the sun come up and thinking about a second cup. When the old cat Dinky hopped up on the table and sat next to me.
--Now usually Dinky and I have an arrangement he stay's on my wife's side of the table when she's up and very seldom crosses over to my side. Except when it's just me and him.
--Usually I don't mind because I figure it's easier to give a little when it comes to cats. Most of the time what you get back is well worth it. The rest of the time its good to remember that their cats and you have to make allowances for their shenanigans.
--He leaned up against me and went to sleep. Which I figured was kind of rude because he was sleeping on my coffee drinking arm. But having raised four children I’d learned long ago it is necessary to drink with either arm.
--I have to admit it was kind of nice to have company while trying to wake up and shake off the remnants of the long night of tossing and turning. If that was his intention I have no way of knowing. But I wouldn't be too surprised. Cats are like that I’ve found over the years. And some cats are very sensitive to the moods and feeling of the people who share their space.....
