--I couldn’t help feel sorry for the old cat last night. Apparently after trying to teach a couple of kittens to be quiet while stalking mice he reached such a point of annoyance that he ended up mumbling to himself. It kind of reminded me of myself while trying to teach my children.
--I smiled and patted him on the head. He seemed to understand when I told him to give them time they’ll get it sooner of later. Because after a few minutes of mumbling he was back at it again.
--Of course trying to teach kittens and children anything is sort of like trying to keep the attention of a nat for more than a few seconds. Darn near impossible without a lot of patience.
--The old cat seemed a little worse for wear this morning and was still mumbling to himself while sunning himself in the window when I passed by. Oh the memories it brought back I couldn’t help but smile. If it’s one thing I’ve learned parenthood is not for the faint of heart….
