THE FINE ART OF BEING HONEST....03/16/15

--The way I figure it being honest is allot easier than trying to keep track of those endless little lies.
--While I imagine there’s a time and a place for a white lie or two. Especially when the truth would hurt someone else needlessly. Even then the potential for things spinning out of control is there .
--When it comes to dealing with other people I pretty much try to stay honest.
--When we have a yard sale you won't find an broken thing’s sitting around waiting to be passed on to the next person. Which I wish could be said for some of the yard sales I’ve been to.
--And as far as dealing with everyday businesses I don't mind paying a fair price for whatever it is I’m looking for. Which seems to be a foreign concept at some places.
--I have never understood some of the shameless games some places play trying to get more jingle out of peoples pockets.
--But I guess that’s probably the point. Not trying to understand all the dang fool games just keeping your eyes open so those little extra bites are kept to a mere announce level....

JUST A FOGGY MORNING WAKE-UP… 01/23/17

--Usually the sunrise and I have a running argument in the morning, to my way of thinking it comes to dang early and to dang fool bright for my taste. Of course being cursed with a sunlight loving whack a doodle wife who usually has all the dang fool curtains wide open doesn’t help to much either, but I guess it could be worse.
--Those days when it’s so foggy the sunrise is just a tint in the morning air are a real treat as far as I’m concerned, no waking up with a fireball trying to burn your brain awake just the slow gentle morning wake-up the way morning were intended to be.
--Unfortunately the little foggy morning darlings only seem to happen every once in awhile. Which I guess is ok because like all the blessings in life it’s really how you look them that gives them their worth…..

THE GREAT EXCHANGE....10/12/15

--Every year it happens as the days slowly pass. The clock turns and we hopefully learn from those moments known as the past.
--On certain days we gather round the table full, to pay homage to those tender moments held so dear.
--the great exchange is made as we celebrate, oh what a sight to see.
--Unfortunately sometimes in our celebrating we miss a few and this is kind of sad.
--But I’m sure somewhere there's a smiling crowd looking on, and their smiling to. For there’s power in the love of a table full paying homage to a day held so dear....

The Blessing That Come Your Way…01/03/15

--It’s getting harder to make a dollar go farther.
--Seems like with every passing day there’s more we have to pay.
--The little that we do have we stretch just to get through.
--It sure make’s life interesting, trying to make a little last a lot.
--It makes you really appreciate the blessing that come your way.
--Because without them I don’t know how we would get though each day…

THE DOMINO EFFECT....07/20/15

--It amazes me sometimes when the domino effect starts. It’s like wow. Can it possibility get and more out of hand?
--You spend most of your time running from one thing to the next without a break in between. Usually I have to stop myself from going into chicken little mode, because if you give into the effect that's were you will end up. And when the domino effect starts there's already enough people in chicken little mode. You really don’t need any more.
--Like everything else in life the domino effect passes. But it makes for a wild ride though, and has the potential to turn even the most steadfast of heads. The trick is to slow down and take it as it comes and don't loose sight of the prize. Which is having a good day no matter what.
--Surprisingly with time it actually gets easier to handle the ride. Sort of makes you wonder ......

SHAKING THE COBWEBS OUT OF THE TREE'S.....09/20/16

--Every once in awhile it's good to shake things up a bit. It keeps the cobwebs out of the tree's, and keeps life fresh.
--Myself I try to keep up the momentum but there are days when just getting from a to b requires more work than you can handle. And of course like every thing in life it's usually those dang fool days when you have to dig into the reserves just to finish the day on a high note.
--It makes for a long day, but some how strangely refreshing when you take the time to remember the hurdles of the day......

SHENANIGANS IN THE WINDOW....07/16/15

--For some reason a air conditioner in the window is a red flag to the outside cats. They have another place to hang out.
--Sitting in the kitchen were often treated to the daily episode of who’s king of the air conditioner. After awhile it gets to be a tad annoying.
--But that’s life I guess when you have a bunch of dimblubs who hang around your dang fool house. If their not finding new ways to get on your nerves their not happy it seems.
--I’m sure there's a way to keep these fool games to a minimum. And next year when I hang the dang fool air conditioner I’ll have a few to try. But knowing those dang fool dimblubs they'll have figured out a few more ways to get on our nerves. Such is life I guess the games go on....

THE NEVER ENDING GAME....07/26/15

--Over the years I’ve noticed a lot of things about cats. Some are pretty amazing and some  well lets just say mind numbing doesn't even begin to describe it.
--As a whole I think cats are pretty amazing animals. Dogs too for that matter. They make excellent companions’ and loyal friends.
--Trying to teach cats and dogs not to indulge in bad behavior. This is a real pain in the neck. And sometimes I think would drive a Tibetan monk to talking to himself.
--Trying to keep bad behavior at bay by keeping trigger’s out of view is ok until you forget one. Nine times out of ten you end up where you started again. Unless it's been awhile like six months to a year. Then maybe you'll be ok.
--Sharing living space with pets requires a lot of patience and understanding. And it's defiantly not for the faint of heart when you have more than one pet.....

RIP VAN WINKLE NIGHT'S....05/30/15

--As a rule I hate Rip Van Winkle night’s. You know the ones. Where every time you wake up you feel ten years older when you first laid down. And you wake up a lot. Because getting comfortable is a luxury you never seem to find.
--Like a fool you move all over the place looking for that one spot where you might find peace. Only to finally realize peace has to start in the mind.
--Finally you watch for the sun to poke it's way through the darkness so you can hobble the Sam hill out of bed. That’s if you can remember where you left your dang fool cane.
--like I said I hate Rip Van Winkle night’s. But I sure do appreciate the fact that they only happen every so often......

BREAKING THE RULE....07/29/15

--Every once in awhile I break my own dang fool rules. Why I have no idea, because usually it ends bad. Therefore the reason behind the rule. But being the hard headed forgetful old fool that I am I  do it.
--This morning I did it again. Waking up getting my coffee cup, filling it with ice then coffee really taxes what reserves I have in the morning. What in Sam hill made me think I could take the dogs out to do their business without coffee I have no idea.
--But I felt sorry for the poor fools bouncing around yapping like a couple of nuts. So I left my coffee cup on the counter and grabbed their leashes and took them out.
--Well you’d think the fact that the ground being wet would have sent red flags of in my brainpan. But what can I say I was half awake. I headed over to waffles run under the maple tree and forgot to duck the low hanging branch because I was in the middle of a yawn. Big mistake.
--It seems whacking the branch had dislodged a snail on the dang fool branch which promptly decided to take up residence in my mouth. Which probably wouldn’t have been bad but while I was gagging on the dang fool snail  I walked in to a spider web which ended up in my mouth. By the time I got that dang thing wiped out and spit out. I was seeing stars. Hooking waffles up I proceed over to jerry run.
-You'd think after darn near swallowing a snail and spider web I’d have just quit. Nope ever forward and all that. Well I wasn’t watching were I was going and promptly slipped in a pile of cat pooh one of the dimblubs left in the yard. About that time my right knee went out and I ended up on my butt.
--Needless to say I really starting to regret the whole forgo coffee idea.
--Hooking jerry up was easy. I even managed to miss two of her holes, and a dang fool spider web on the way to the house. Maybe things were looking up I figured. Really you think I would learn.
--Limping back to the house favoring my right knee going up the stairs. That’s when my left knee decided he wanted to play to. It went out and down I went.
--I sat there for a few minute's thinking about all sorts of colorful things. One of which was bouncing dogs. I came to the conclusion the dang fool probably were just happy to see me and didn't even have to go to the bathroom. Which was probably what was going on.
--Getting to the house was quite simple after all that. And of course coffee was a welcome sight. I guess sometimes a few misadventure make you appreciate that first cup more and the rules surrounding it....

A GOOD MORNING HOWDY...... 09/26/17

--As a rule I try to keep a open mind when it comes to mornings. And I have been known to let quite a few things slide, on the way to hammering out a good morning.
--There have been those days when everyone seems to be stuck in Whack a Doodle mode. When no matter what you do or say will get you right in the thick of things if your not careful.
--It's days like those when I like to tread carefully of course, which is kind of hard in a house filled with wing nuts cats, dogs and kittens. Not forgetting of course a family who at times are more like outcasts from a clan of feuding folks from the other side of the pike.
--But with a wee bit of patience and a pinch of luck things usually work out as long as you remember there are some morning when a good morning howdy just isn't in the cards.....

WHISPERING NIGHTS....07/12/15

--Usually they really cork my griddle. I mean the whole idea behind going to bed at night turns into a joke and you wake up feeling like you've been wailed on with a bag of rocks all night.
--That being said there are also the nights when all of the things are turned on their head by the simple act of a whack a doodle cat. And his over powering need to provide comfort to his family.
--By such little simple acts of kindness. He reaffirms one faith and provides that added little touch. That helps you make it through the night will the tiny hope that rest might be achieved.
--I know it sounds weird but on whispering nights it helps a lot to wake up to a purring old cranky sour puss who normally wouldn't give you a second glance during the day.....

SIMPLE MATH....07/11/15

--I used to try and keep track of the good and bad things when they popped up during the day. You know trying to figure out where each of the little fellas came from and what not.
--After awhile I found I was plugging holes and chasing rainbows and not much else. Because quite frankly no matter how many times I plugged the hole where the bad things would come from they always found anther way. And as for chasing rainbows even though it was fun I didn't get much done.
--Now of course many years later I’ve learned to just go my merry way taking things as they come. Not getting to bogged down in the details to much. And leaving math to the universe.
--It's probably not the best way of doing things but at the end of the day I’m not carrying a list around worry about who go the most hits in. And if tomorrow was going to be a better day.
--Now when I finally round out the day it's been pretty good, and as for tomorrow I’m sure it'll be pretty good to.....

SIZE MATTER'S.....07/25/16

--As usual when out and about shopping for this and that, it seems you can't help but stumble over another shrinking package.
--I’m sure somebody some where is having a jolly good time with these shenanigans. Staying up late trying to figure out what in Sam hill else they cant shrink.
--It's getting so now it seems to be a constant battle to keep the jingle from being double dipped out of our pockets.
--But with patience and of course a watchful eye it is possible to win. Keeping in mind of course size really does matter.....

DOWN FOR THE COUNT….07/29/15

--One of the few things that have been a blessing and curse over the years is my apparent inability to stay down for the count. I mean on the one hand it’s kept me going when most people would have probably thrown in the towel and said this is just to much.
--But on the other hand it’s kept me from seeing that their were better ways of doing thing’s if I’d just back off a bit and look at the whole picture.
--I know it doesn’t sound like much but the difference between stubbornness and good old common sense is a very fine line.
--One which I have to monitor quite a bit because it seems some days the two keep wearing the same dang fool shoes…..

Which came first..12/26/14

--When it comes to the question which came first the man or the boy. I tend to look back on a few things before I decide.
--Like the day I walked away from my parents house and looked back from the road.
--Or the day I stood before the judge and married my wife .Looking forward to having someone to enjoy growing old with.
--Or the day in the delivery room watching waiting for each of my children to be born.
--Or the night we brought the children home from the hospital and sitting up all night just watching them sleep.
--Like I said before when it comes to the question I tend to look back, but have never been able to answer it I guess. I'm not sure which came first, but I do know when he became old, but even now it seems like just yesterday..

The first smile of the day….01/04/15

--Try as I might I can’t seem to make people understand, if you walk around with a frown it’s harder than heck to get turned upside down.
--You spend most of your day missing, the little thing’s that could brighten it. Because your in a constant snit.
--That’s why I prefer to try for a smile even though some times it’s hard. The alternative is something that really makes you feel quite worse.
--I’m sure some people are quite happy as can be frowning their life away each day. But as for me I’d rather start the day with a smile because sometimes it’s the only thing that will get me through the day.

SLIPPING AND SLIDING....01/25/16

--I’m always amazed at just how much we take for granted all the little thing's that make our lives easier.
--Remote control’s, that enable us to change channels without having to get up. Microwaves that give us a quicker way to cook. I could go on but the list is endless.
--When any of those little do dad's brake down or become lost you’d think it was the end of the world.
--Of course back in the stone age as my children love to point out, when I was born. We didn't have all those do dad's and what not. So it's kind of easy for old timer's to fall back into the doing with out thinking. Sort of makes you wonder if maybe we've come to depend on the easiness of life a little to much.....

SNOW COVERED FROSTY TREE'S.... 01/24/16

--As a rule I’m not particularly fond of frosty morning's. I find them to be a bit of a pain in the neck. And a real trial trying to use a cane while watching where in Sam hill I’m going.
--But I will say they are pretty as all get out. And will take your breath away if you take the time to let it.
--Of course hanging out for to long makes for a bit of a stiff walk back to the house but the mental recharge is well worth the discomfort. And these day a mental recharge of an kind is well worth it.....

SPARKLY CRYSTAL MORNING.... 01/08/16

--Usually I like the sunrise new day, new beginnings and all that. But there's something about the sun when it hits a fresh batch of snow and sets of a sparkly crystal shine that sets my eyes to searching for a pair sunglasses for my eyeball cover's.
--While pretty as all get out. It does make waking up a tad difficult.
--Of course my wife prefers to enjoy such things to the fullest. Usually by throwing open curtains. She has conceded that the sparkles can wait a bit. At lest to the second and third cup of coffee.
--Now if we can convince the children and furry little darlings to hold off on their shenanigans the day might progress at a even keel.....

SOMETIMES A BIGGER PUSH IS NEEDED….03/12/15

SOMETIMES A BIGGER PUSH IS NEEDED….03/12/15
--On the downward slide is sometimes where you find your best inspiration.
--Sometimes a emergency provides the boost needed to access the level where creativity is stored.
--Don’t ask me why. Because after all these years I still don’t understand it. But it’s usually when I’m standing up to my but in muck and mire, that a creative solution will pop up and help me fix the problem.
--Maybe it’s just that a extra spark is needed sometimes to get the creative gene going. Or the fact that having a hard head it take’s a bigger push. Of course my wife has her view on the subject. And perhaps she’s right. Come to think of it she usually is ….

COLD WINTER NIGHTS…02/08/15

--On a cold winter night, there’s not much to do, crawl under the cover's and try not to turn blue.
--There’s a chill in the air, to remind you I guess, winter is here so you best get your rest.
--Sleep for a bit and then check on the children and wife. Make sure their all covered and their not getting a chill. Check the heater's in each room make sure their working just fine. Boy I tell it's enough to blow your mind.
--Head back to bed, remembering to pee. because the older I get that's important as can be.
--After two hours or so start all over again, only this time starting the coffee before heading back to bed.
--When the coffee is done go quietly off to have that first cup and wait for the sun.
--Got to love those cold winter nights with not much to do...

ALBINO BUG‘S.....07/23/15

--I don't mind bugs I figure they all have there place in the grand scheme of thing's. But when it comes to certain type's they tend to freak me out a bit. One of them is albino spider’s, grasshopper’s, and praying mantis’s. Or anything albino for that matter. Why they freak me out I have no idea. They always have though.
--Usually when I run into them I give them a wide berth. Sometimes though you got to go hang out in their general area for a bit. And that will start for a lot of the old fears to kick in.
--Crawling around under the house isn't fun and generally I’ll go out of the way to keep from having to do it. But sometimes you have to when a emergency comes up.
--Needless to say setting aside your fears of creepy crawly thing's long enough to be able to function during a emergency gets to be a tad annoying. Especially when you have to pass through a group of albino grasshoppers to get under the house. And them run into cobwebs and albino spider's crawling away from the light.
--I’ve always found your mind can be your best friend or your worst enemy. And over the year's we've had some grand old battle’s. Usually around what I could and couldn't do. But then again I never did like being told what to do. So some petty fear of creepy crawly thing's just makes me a tad stubborn. Even though I swear I could feel the dang fool thing's crawly on me the whole time I‘m under the house crawling around.
--Of course my wife just looks at me like I’m crazy when I have to go under the dang fool house. Because she's well aware I’m not to happy about it. And even though I keep telling myself that I’ve gotten over the dang fool fear of creepy crawly thing’s. crawling around with a bunch of them makes for a interesting time.....

GOOD OLD BAKING WEEKENDS.....10/11/16

--Every once in awhile my wife and daughter, and even my son's on occasion, will get in a backing mood.
--It makes for a long day but some of the treats are really quite good. And it's nice to see everyone on the same page for a change, so it's a two for in my book.
--And of course the aftermath is the kicker, because that's when it's time to enjoy the treats. While watching a Hallmark movie, and having a glass of apple cider or a cup of cocoa depending on your taste.
--The perfect ending to a chilly fall day.....

WHAT ARE YOU DOING? ....05/19/15

--Walking around our yard can be a pain in the neck. For every step you take there's usually a bunch of dimblub cats following you.
--My wife thinks this is great. She’ll go out to weed around her lilacs and the merry band of fools will follow her every step.
--I on the other hand am not to fond of the little fools, but love my wife so I’ve learned to live with the whack a doodle’s. Working on a lawnmower, or just about anything for that matter can be a real pain in the neck. But like I said I’ve learned to live with the fools.
--In allot of way's there allot like toddler's always wanting to know what your up to I guess....

LITTLE PATCHES OF ICE....01/27/16

--They may be little but the little fellows can quickly get your attention if you get distracted while out and about. One misstep and it's fall on our butt city for sure.
--Of course spending all your time looking for the little darlings sort of detracts from the beauty of a little  warming trend. So somewhere a balance has to be achieved.
--In a way it sort of reminds me of listening to all hullabaloo of the current news reports.
--With all the beauty out there why is it we only hear about the little patches of ice. Sort of makes you wonder just who's distracting who.....

LOVELY LITTLE FIELD OF WHITE.... 01/25/16

--Say what you will about blanket's of white, I prefer the one's with little patches of green or brown who just refuse to lie down. Even though there's plenty of snow to more than cover everything about.
--Maybe it's the abnormal fellow deep inside, who just can't seem to get with the program. But when I see those lonely little island's I can't keep the smile from my face and whisper a silent little prayer for the rebels of nature and may they always be there. To remind it's ok not to follow the crowd and take a stand, here and there.
--In fact rather than being a freak of nature, they add a little something special to the big picture. And myself I’m kind of glad that they do.
--Because quite frankly it make's the big picture all the more interesting. And that I find is what makes life really matter....

Winter Weather Advisory....01/07/15

--Well the snow is falling lazily to the ground, and all the predictions are for more snow to come. Which in itself is no great surprise after all it is winter.
--The radio has been pounding us all morning winter advisory's telling basically the same thing. But in such a way to try and make us think were in the prelude to the storm of the century.
--I don't blame them really I mean all they really have to work with is whatever the forecast might be at the time. Of course their going to try and jazz it up a little.
--But come on don't you think a winter weather advisory should mean something severe is on the way.
--Maybe somebody should read that tale about the boy who cried wolf....

WHOLE LOT OF FUN....09/06/16

--There are certain things that are considered fun, are certain things that are not. At least that's what I've been told by my wife and children.
--I guess they kind of take exception when they find me hip deep in muck and mire, humming a little tune while I Wade through the shenanigans of the moment.
--It's not that I don't appreciate the muck and mire moment, I just figure it's a lot easier to hum a tune than spend the day shaking your fist, at the dang fool sky.
--Besides it sort of makes even the darkest days a week bit better. And when it comes down to brass tacks and nails I'll take anything I can get if it makes for a better day......

When all else fails...12/08/14

--Once again it's seems winter has decided to come back. Not a lot snow so far but it is cold. it seems as temp drops so do peoples IQ level. It's amazing how people loose what little patience they had when the temp drops. No more giving people a little extra space when the roads are bad and your forced to drive a little slower. No more putting your blinker on before your ready to turn. letting the Fella waiting know what your up to.
--Driving becomes a free for all. Which is a shame because it doesn't really have to be.
--The store’s are stuffed with people all in a hurry, to get there stuff and get out as quickly as possible.
--And the check out’s are all run by people that a smile seems to be a alien concept. Which is really to bad.
--I realize that times are tough, and after awhile it tends to drag you down. But as for myself I try to smile when life gets to most oppressing. I figure what have I got to loose. and the up side is no matter how bad it gets a smile really makes me feel better.
--My wife accuses me at times like that of being simple minded. But hey after all these years I’ve noticed she'll even crack a smile when every-one is in chicken little mode so I guess she's decided to come over to the simple minded side to...

THE LONG RUN.... 08/22/15

--Making a long run around a simple 5 min job so you don't have to do it. It's always amazed how some people will out of their way to do just that.
--Over the year's I’ve run into some real whack a doodle's when it come's to avoiding doing thing’s. What amazes me is if they just put a little effort into getting the dang fool thing done. they'd have more time for other thing's.
--But they don't unfortunately. Leaving the job's for the rest of us to handle. So they can quickly get back to their little fantasy world's where they rule supreme.
--I guess it take's all kind to make the world spin. Maybe someday they'll realize what their missing. Until then we'll just have to grin and bear it I guess. And say a little prayer that maybe some day they’ll grow up…..

SELF STORAGE.... 08/22/15

--Nice little trend renting room's for your stuff. Usually when collected stuff starts taking up room in our house, we go through it and have a yard sale.
--But that's probably just us. Lately there seems to be a self storage place on every corner. With new one's going up all the time.
--Seam’s like a lot of work, moving extra stuff to it's own rented room. But I imagine there's probably a reason why people rent the places.
--Me I just sort the extra and either the yard sale ends up taking the majority, or the garbage man....

RUNNING IN A RUT....04/25/15

--Sometimes in the course off a day I kind of feel like a ball of silly putty. It seems so many are pulling for the attention of the moment that you walk around in a constant state of flux.
--Like a hamster on a wheel no matter how fast or long you go when you stop your right where you stated.
--Over the years I’ve tried it so many different ways, that now I just mossy along doing the best I can. Some times just happy to be moving at all.
--Of course this produces many head scratching form some. But it's the only way I’ve found to spread the time between everything….

REMEMBERING THE SEQUENCE....08/27/15

--I don't know why but on certain day's remembering the sequence of thing's is a real pain in the neck. It's a simple case of first then second and so on. One misstep and everything gets thrown out of whack. Sounds simple but boy on some days it can be a real pain.
--Hobbling along from place to place realizing that the things you forget will probably came back to bite you before the day is out. But it just doesn't seem as important as remembering how to use the dang fool cane.
--Maybe that’s what it's all about putting things in perspective. And trying above all else to keep it simple. Not get bogged down so much in trying to get everything done. But to keep plugging away.
--Either way it seems just the act of moving from place to place takes on more importance than everything else. I guess in the end it's as simple as that.....

Running from life… 01/30/15

--I often marvel at the people who can spend their whole life running from life. Doing just enough to get by to be considered a functioning member of society and that’s it. And I might add when the occasion arises even running from what little they do do, by an ever ending series of mishaps and misfortunes that most people consider part of life’s ups and downs.
--It takes a very special kind of person as far as I’m concerned to be able to devote that much energy to trying to avoid life and the responsibility’s that come with it.
--It takes all kinds I guess to make the world go round . In a way I feel sorry for them because they are missing out on so much that life has to offer.
--But like everything else in life you can only run so far and for so long before life catches up to you. And then life shows you what you’ve been missing….

PAINTING WITH SHADOWS.....04/14/17

--Watching the sunrise, in the early morning I'm always amazed at mother nature's ability to paint a pretty picture with half light and shadows.
--in a lot of ways I find it a little reminder to make the most of what I've got I guess, but there isn't a morning I haven't walking away from such a sight doing just that.
--Finding the little reminders in daily life to give inspiration to the days ups and downs is something I've always tried to share with my children, which in this whack a doodle world seems to be getting harder and harder to do.
--But the funny thing about life with a little patience we'll usually be given a peek or two at the pretty pages if we're keeping a eye out.....

RIDING THE ROLLER COASTER….03/19/15

--Back and forth, from one end to the other. With stops every so often right in between.
--They say it’s amazing what you can get used to. Being resilient is the keystone of life.
--Like everything it’s all in how you look at it I suppose. The old trying to see things in a positive light coming back once again on me. And ordinarily I’d probably agree.
--I guess it could be a whole lot worse. Riding the roller coaster while trying to sleep, really isn’t to bad once you find the rhythm. And that’s just the thing. Finding the rhythm while riding the dang thing….

BUG EYES AND THE DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS... 12/29/15

--The poor little fellow spent most of the night sound asleep. Apparently chasing ever piece of wrapping paper around the living room Christmas morning was a little to much for him. Because He crashed shortly after and spent most of the day recharging.
--Now of course He's roaring and making His presence known to all.
--Of course the other cats are not to impressed. But they are only mad because Bug eyes has a tendency to be a bit pushy when it comes to who belongs where.
--The funny thing is the dogs have no problems other than the weather. And it being a chill morning.
--But like all things I suppose it could be worse. At least the little whack a doodles have mellowed out a bit about who’s king of the mountain for awhile.....

A WELCOME RELIEF.... 12/29/15

--It seems so easy for people to fall back into the swing of thing's. The holidays are done for awhile and it's back to the business at hand.
--Myself I’ll miss the days up to the old gather around the Christmas tree event. Not because of all the presents but it was yet another in a limited line of opportunities to gather with friends and love ones and express our love for each other. With out being hit with a abnormal label of desperately trying to buck the current norm.
--Expressing our love for our children has always been something my wife and I tried to make known to our children while growing up. Sometime much to their embarrassment. But over time the forgave our indiscretions by explaining to their friends that their mother and father marched to their own drummer.
--Of course in this day and age of the Me Me's it does seem to be some what of a foreign concept. Maybe if everyone did one nice thing for someone else each day would we could turn the tide. And who knows it might just start a ripple effect.
--But what do I know I’m just a old pink hat wearing fool, trying to figure out how to keep one step ahead of the black cloud of negativity in this brave new whack a doodle world we seem to be living in these days....

THE NEW YEAR AHEAD….12/27/14

--Waiting for the new year to begin, is kind of like waiting for the fall TV roll out. You’ve seen all the old season and can’t wait to see what the new season has to offer..

GETTING BACK INTO THE SWING....12/29/15

--With the holiday finally passed everyone seems eager to get back into the swing of things. Myself I find the days after Christmas a time for quiet reflection on the year slowly coming to a close, and the new one approaching.
--My wife shakes her head as she hustles about dragging the old Christmas tree back into the corner. And with the help of the children sending the wrapping paper scraps out to the trash. All except those few Bugeyes has carefully horded so He has something to play with later.
--It's back to the business at hand and the house is in for a shakeup or to. As space is made for presents. And dust bunnies are once again the villain of the day.
--Of course by the time the ball drops, we'll be ready for the new year. With a clean house and everyone filled with new year cheer.
--In the mean time, it seems once again it's off to find a broom mop and dustpan I am.....

HAPPY NEW YEAR....01/02/16

--Spending the night waiting for the new year to begin was never a big thing for me. Now that  I’m a tad older I seem to have even less of a fascination with the whole ordeal.
--But my wife and children do love the whole counting the new year in. So I guess the tradition will carry on in our house.
--Myself I usually curl up and catch a nap while the night is young. Because usually the night is filled with the constant quest for a comfortable position to sleep in.
--Of course waking up to a new year, is nice. And all the possibilities that it brings. Happy New Year and I hope your year is filled with as many blessings as life can bring....

FROSTY MORNING CAT FIGHT....01/02/16

--If there’s one thing I like is consistency. Snow in winter, Green Christmas trees, and Light bulbs that burn at lest as bright as what they replaced. Never was one who liked surprises I guess.
--With the new year and all I expect there'll be plenty of surprises in the year ahead. I mean why would 2018 be an different than any of the years past.
--Listening to waffles add His 2 cents to the frosty morning cat fight between the 2 whack a doodle male cats is just the kind of old consistency. I could do with out. But hey something’s just don't change I guess. And maybe that’s a good thing to.....

PRE-PROGRAMMED RESPONSE'S.... 01/26/17

--The new year has begun and now the race is on it seems. Christmas has been moved to the clearance rack, and Valentines day is front and center. And so goes the cycle.
--For next few months it'll be a race to see who can get more of the jingle before the next ball drops.
--The bill's are a coming with their little jump's attached for this and that. Same great service and some barely at that. No reason of course for the extra little hoops. Why bother to explain to the pre-programmed dupes.
--We've become accustomed to the whole great big mess, and that's where the problem does lie.
--Don't try looking for answer's because they’ve taken care of that as well. You need a translator when you visit customer service and those seven gates of the land down under.
--Of course cutting back help's, and so does a prayer or two. Keeping in mind that old nursery rhyme when the going gets tough. Whatever it take's it always gets you though.
--So here's to another's year of round the mulberry bush we go. As they try with all their might to keep us in their sight.....
