MR TOADS NEW FRIEND.... 09/07/16

--I guess it was only a mater of time before Mr. Toad started making friends. I mean if you hang around long enough your bound to rub of a little on each other.
--So I wasn't to surprised to find
Willow and Mr. Toad curled up next to each other under the old maple tree, when I went out to feed the Whack a doodles this morning.
--I mean after all this is Whack a doodle acres, and after all these years I've kind of gotten used to some of the shenanigans of some of the Whack a doodles that pass by.
--It was a little weird to find Mr. Toad following
Willow around, but he I guess it takes all kinds I guess.....

MOTHER NATURE'S GYM..... 05/27/15

--I’ve heard tell of a place where people go to get in shape. They say its kind of fun and they have lot's of way's to help you out.
--Myself I never had any extra jingle to spare for such thing’s. What with trying to keep up with the constantly rising prices of thing’s. But I image they do have there uses. There just not for me I guess.
--Of course when it comes to trying to stay in shape I never really seemed to have a problem with that either. It’s amazing what kind of a workout you can get just doing thing’s. Like housework, yard work and little thing's like that. Why I image taking the garbage out burns a whole lot of calories. And all that fresh air well lets just say it's a two-for. And I like two-for's.
--Mother nature's gym seems to handle all my exercising needs for now. But maybe I’ll have the jingle and time to spare someday who knows.....

MORNING SUNBATH.... 09/27/16

--In the beginning of our adventure at Whack a Doodle Acre I always thought it was weird how when the sun came up so would the whack a doodles who hung around the house. Just like magic you could find them all lined up on the porch railing getting there sunbath.
--Of course my wife explained it to me more than a few times, just what the Sam Hill was going on. And it wasn't until I got older that it fully sunk in.
--Now I sometimes go out and sit with the whack a doodles getting some of that morning sunlight.
--The thing is they don't seem to really mind as long as I don't block the view to much......

MOODY LAWN MOWER BLUES..... 05/18/15

--I don't know what’s worse mowing the dang fool yard. Or mowing the dang fool yard with a lawn mower with a mind of it's own.
--I can get a handle on this dang foolishness of keeping the grass short when everything works. When it doesn't and you have to resort to a push mower because your rider has a mind of it own. Lets just say its a pain in the neck.
--I imagine push mowers are good for something, what I haven’t figured out. If its a work out your looking for use a push mower. It’ll fix you up.
--Of course mowing the yard with a push mower can be accomplished by doing a little bit at a time. It’s just a pain in the neck waiting for the fool rider to get over it's mood swing.....

MANAGEABLE LITTLE MESS.... 06/07/15

--I have to give mother nature credit the old gal loves to keep you on your toes. Dealing with all her shenanigans can be a pain in the neck sometimes. But is makes for never a dull moment.
--Like the old well guess what I did game. Finding out one of your overgrown fruit trees has blown down with the last big wind and all the rain we had. Makes for interesting conversation. Let alone a work load cutting the dang fool thing up and hauling it out of the neighbors yard.
--But it did give everyone a chance to work together. Which is always a plus.
--Being one to try the best I can to learn from thing's when they happen. I trimmed the rest of the dang fool trees in the line. Which brought sighs of tired protest from everyone including myself before we were done.
--My wife’s comment when we were done made me crack a smile. “ You know next year on my birthday why don't you just give me a hug ".....

LITTLE QUESTIONS.... 03/31/15

--I can remember being followed round the house from sunup till sundown being peppered with little questions.
--Looking back it's amazing I ever got anything done what with answering questions all day.
--Of course after awhile the questions became less frequent. But when they did pop up they were whoppers. And I always tried to stop what I was doing and answer them as best I could.
--Now these many years later I find that the questions still pop up. Now and then. Of course when they do their whoppers. And of course I try to answer them as best as I can. In fact sometimes I thank god for little questions because with out them I probably would have less conversations these days.....

LAZY EYED SENTINEL.... 11/06/15

--Waiting for the dogs to do there business this morning I couldn’t help but notice the owl watching every move from atop of a cherry tree that grows next to the porch.
--At first glance it looked like the stuffed owl my wife had for sale in the yard sale. I thought perhaps she hung it in the tree. But I remembered she said she sold it. Of course the fact the little fella moved his head was kind a clue to but what can i say at 3;00am in the morning I’m a little slow.
--The dogs didn't really pay the fella much attention and the cats who hang around the house once they realized I wasn't lunging food out to them lost interest in the party and faded back to where ever they were sleeping before being woke up.
--When the dogs were done I waved to the owl and closed the door shaking my head. It was nice to know there was somebody keeping a eye on thing s out there I guess. Even if it was a owl with a lazy eye..

IGNORING ME MAKES ME WORSE.... 06/12/15

--It seems the thing I use to tell my children has finally come back to bite me in the butt.
--Mowing the yard today the usual cast of charters were out and about. Neighbors chickens in the trees, kittens running every which way and that dang fool loud mouth crow sitting in his tree. Being more intent in doing a little mowing I tried to ignore the dang fools.
--Of course this didn't faze the kittens in the least they just went about their business going whack a doodle crazy. The chickens got bored when I didn't start yelling at them and went home. The crow well I guess he just figured he'd just try a little harder.
--First he buzzed me a few times trying to get my attention. When that didn't work the dang fool stole my hat. Apparently he thought this was just great because he returned to his tree to crow about it.
--Unluckily for him Hansel was waiting for him. She leaped out of the tree and knocked the dang fool out of the air. They both landed on the ground in a pile. The crow was the first to recover and promptly took off. Hansel got up and shook herself off. I ran over and got my hat and patted old Hansel on the head.
--Of course the crow had the last laugh. Apparently while flying around he found time to poo in my hat.....

CHECKOUT POLICE.... 08/27/15

--There's nothing worse than standing in a line for 20 min and then being told you have to many item for the 20 items or less checkout. To say it gets my goat is a understatement. But like everything else I guess it's just one of those thing's you have to deal with it the new age of shopping. Where it’s more important to follow the rules of the checkout than keep the customer happy.
--I mean why have 20 checkouts if your only going to have 4 open and 2 of those are 20 items or less. The other 2 well I guess it's just grab a book and get ready for along wait. Unless of course you want to try the new fangled self pay where you check yourself out and then get the stink eye from the gall/fella standing there making sure you do everything right.
--It's a whole new world of shopping out there that's for sure. Gone are the day's when a pleasant smile was a small reward for trudging through endless isles looking for your bargains. Now it's all line up and take a number.
--Oh some store's are still pleasant enough. And these I relish while they last. It’s always nice to see a smiling face. Even if it's for a few seconds or less. And I really hope and pray they hang in there and don't get forced out by the new norm. Because that would really be a shame. Life’s hard enough and a smile and a pleasant face go a long way on a cloudy day .....

Cracking rocks with a feather... 01/08/15

--So often as not I hear the excuse well I’d have a good day if people would just stop getting on my nerves.
--Over the years I’ve tried to explain to my children that there are always going to be people that are going to get on their nerves. Unless you with draw totally from the world and become a hermit. Your kind of stuck.
You just can’t control how people are going to act. You need to control your reaction to their behavior.
--I know it sounds so simple. At lest in principle. But in application it becomes down right hard sometimes.
--I love my children with all my heart but sometimes trying to get them to crack a smile is like trying to crack a rock with a feather. Darn near impossible.
--That’s not to say I’ve given up, it just means I have to keep a ready supply of feather’s on hand…

DECODING THE PRICE TAG SPECIAL'S.... 09/30/16

--When it comes to shopping I like plain and simple price tags, not the whack a doodle mess they have out there now.
--The way I figure it is if I need two aspirin from the mega headache I get from trying to figure out what I Sam Hill the price tags are saying, then maybe I'm working a little to hard at something that shouldn't be that hard. And maybe the dang fool price tags are confusing on purpose figuring if they keep us confused they have more of a chance at our limited jingle.
--So I pretty much leave the buy 2 get 3 free, or the 4 for 10 tags for my wife to figure out since she loves puzzles, and I stick with the simple ones.
--It's probably not the best deal but it does seem to work, and I don't end up with a mega headache from all the dang fool foolishness which is a two for in my book.....

EXCEPTIONS AND CONTENTS… 09/07/15

--When it comes to pizza it seems everyone has a favorite brand or type. And will defend their choice till the wee hours of the night .
--Standing in a store or beside a phone book is like a meeting in the united nations. Trying to get everyone on the same page is one of the most mind bending and head scratching things to do. and if you addle minded enough to throw home made pizza into the mix  which I usually do. It just builds a bigger fire for everyone to fight around.
--Myself I just try to keep it simple. Price, size, and contents. But then again I was never overly impressed with the whole dang fool pizza craze in the first place. Much to my families distrust.
--But every once in awhile I’ll play the fool and let the dang fools fight it out so they can have their night of fun and frolic driving each other whack a doodle crazy picking just the right one.
--Of course when it’s all over and the crusts are piled high then the dang fool’s pick apart the little delights like a bunch of food critics with a ax to grind.
--I’ll say one thing it sure keeps the little darling’s busy and on the same page for the night. Which in my book is a two for. Now if I could figure out how to get them that excited about every other meal of the week I’d be doing something….

FIRST THINGS FIRST…. 03/16/15

--Sometimes the order in which things are done, isn’t as important as it seems.
--And sometimes the order is more important than the accomplishments that they bring.
--It’s a conundrum but that’s what makes life interesting in a house filled with cats, kittens, dogs children and my wife and me.
--You wouldn’t think it would matter, but apparently it does. Thank God for the whack a doodles because nobody else does….

God bless America thanks for free bathrooms... 12/02/14

--I thank God for free bathroom's without them people with tiny bladder would be up the creek without a paddle. Or start having to wear adult diapers, and at $9.50 for 16,it would probably be cheaper to carry a change of clothes in your car. But after 9/11 I don't think I'd want to try changing my pants in my car, what with that whole Nsa spying thing and of course the cameras on every corner. With my luck I'd be picked up and have explain what the Sam hill I'd been up to. So I say God bless America thanks for free bathrooms...

GOOD INTENTIONS OR THE WHIMS OF BUSYBODIES….. 07/02/15

--It seems I am forever trying to undo what others have done. With so called good intentions.
--Over the years it has amazed me to no end the amount of trouble I have found myself digging out of. Because of people’s constant good intentions.
--Which in fact when pealed away are in fact nothing more then the whims of busybodies with too much time on their hands.
--Razing four children in a constant barrage of these shenanigans has been a test of patience. Yet alone a test of the bonds of family fortitude. Fortunately my wife and I have more than meet the task. And have on each occasion risen to the task of digging out from under the good intentions and whims of busybodies.
--In fact my wife has on more than one occasion looked at me like I‘ve lost what’s left of my mind when I‘ve said“ Thank god for busybodies without them we’d never know if we were doing  anything wrong without them.”
--I pray someday busybodies will find the peace their looking for by looking into their own lives instead of the lives of others. Until then of course we’ll just have to try and keep a shovel handy while were trying to carry on…..

ICE CUBE TRAY DELEMA…. 04/18/15

--Over the years I’ve had plenty of conversation’s with my children about ice cube trays and filling them.
--Oh they have the first part down pat. Emptying them. In fact I’ve never seen a group of people who can empty a set of ice cube trays faster than my children. Especially on a hot day.
--But when it comes to refilling them they seem to think a small group of fairy’s live in the icebox and it’s their job to refill the dang things.
--As soon as the weather starts to warm up one of the things that are on the morning, afternoon and nightly agenda is making sure the dang ice cube trays are filled. Thank god for the ice cube fairy’s….

A UNLIKELY MATCH…. 03/27/15

--Trying to maintain the status quo in a house full cats and kittens, at times can be hard. Especially when it doesn’t seem to take much to upset the natural balance of things.
--From time to time a pair will come along who will bond, and become fast friends. And at other times a pair will come along who will be friends one minute and then be fighting like whack a doodles the next instant.
--The fact that it kind of reminds me of raising children is uncanny of course. But is does. I don’t know how many fights I’ve had to break up over the years. Only to have the fools laughing and giggling five minutes later.
--Of course my wife thinks I put way to much time into the whole thing. Trying figure out what’s
going on. She’s probably right. Personally I think their all furry little whack a doodles…

AT SOME POINT…. 06/24/15

--It seems that at some point it finally dawned on everyone that summer is  here so maybe we should just take a break in the shenanigans. Try to stop a bunch of pets to stop freaking out because the sun has come out and the rain has stopped. No chance because they have been cooped up too long.          .
--What ever the case after weeks of singing the song of rain last night was pretty quiet. Of course the fact that it was a tad warm probably helped. Either way it was a quiet night which afforded me a little sleep for which I’m very grateful. Now I can try and deal with these crazy pets of ours.
--I guess like everything else what goes up must come down eventually with these cats jumping out of trees at you. Or just hanging off a branch batting at your arm as you walk by trying to play with you. Following you all over the yard running back and forth in front of where your walking causing you to trip by not stepping on the little fools.
-- They were going bonkers jumping after bugs and playing leap frog over each other. Running up and down trees. Chasing each other around the yard. The cats started to bounce up and down in the tall grass it looked like they were playing hide - and - seek I had to stop what I was doing and laugh at them. They sure are having some fun in the sun…..

COOL AND BREEZY.... 06/29/15

--Being a tad gloomy in the morning is part of the wake-up process. At lest it for me. Especially if I’ve spent most of the night trying to find sleep.
--A pleasant reminder of the days possibilities is a cool and breezy day. Even though I do enjoy the hot day's, a cool and breezy day is just about right for just about anything you might want to do outside. And even goes so far as to make life inside more pleasant also. By not having to run the dang fool a/c constantly.
--Of course once again for some reason I find myself and my wife standing on the edge alone in this area. As far as weather goes. The children don't really seem to have a option until they are forced to leave the sanitary of their rooms to join us on our little yard work outings.
--But to be fair despite there grumblings I do notice they are allot quieter on a cool and breezy day........

FOUR WAY STOP VS ROLL ABOUT... 06/06/15

--In a country filled with whack a doodles who remembered the driver’s Ed book long enough to get their license and that’s about it, they just plain forgot about it afterwards. Putting a roll up to a circle and yield if anything coming  wasn't too good of an idea.
--Yeah a four way stop meant you had to take turns. And most me me's don't figure they have to wait or take turns. They kind of believe their special and these rules are for the common folk. So that was a bad idea to. I do love watching them at a four way stop sign and red light intersection. They all go at the same time and then hit their brakes before smashing into each other.
--But really trying to encourage common sense in a country filled with whack a doodles who leave their common sense on their pillow in the morning is just asking for trouble. Sort of brings to mind the whole sensible salting requires sensible driving thing. And their belief that their special goes along with who cares I’ve got insurance.
--But what do we know? After four near misses with people who couldn’t figure out that yield means stop and then go if nothing’s coming. Or the ten mile per hour sign that in me me means drive as fast as Sam hill possible before something comes and you might have to yield should probably be changed to a dang fool hospital sign because it's probably going to be needed before long.
-- But if there's one thing we've learned through the whole experience is find another dang fool way to rather than take a chance playing with that dang fool circle...

GOING THROUGH THE MOTION'S.... 07/15/15

--Being sick is a real pain in the neck in a house full of whack a doodles. It’s not that they don't care it's just that they can't tone down their shenanigans for anything it seems.

--My wife looks at me like I’ve lost what's left of my mind when she knows I don't feel good. But I force myself to smile and say stuff like you got to love the little whack a doodles at least their consistent.
--Don't ask me what it means, I use it as a reminder to forgive them and remember their whack a doodles they can't help themselves. Even when their being far out in left field they do have their moments when they will do something that will just warm the deepest parts of your heart.
--Yeah I know but hey, what do you expect from a fellow trying very hard to remind himself there's even room for whack a doodles when your not feeling up to par.....

GOOD MORNING TOAD.... 10/05/16

--Usually I like my mornings to be quiet, maybe a couple of cups of coffee before chicken little mode.
--Sometimes it works out that way, more often than not it doesn't. I guess you learn to adjust.
--When I opened the door to let waffles out Mr. Toad hopped in the kitchen before I could get the dang fool door closed. Waffles of course freaked out and started barking and snarling. Grandolf, ran over to investigate saw it was a big ugly toad and did a Scooby-Doo trying to get the heck away from the thing. And if all that wasn't bad enough all this was taking place on my freshly mopped floor. Some mornings it just doesn't pay to get up I guess.
--Well first I grabbed Mr. Toad and took him out, and then took Waffles out and put him on his run and then of course re-mopped the dang fool floor.
--I suppose it could have been worse, it could have been that dang fool possum or that raccoon. What a mess that would have been.....

Keeping cats in your yard..12/03/14

--When we first moved into our house we make the decision to fence the yard in. We were real close to the road and had four small children. it seemed like a no brainier to my wife and I.
--It wasn't until 6 months later that we realized out mistake.
--You see people just couldn't seem to grasp the concept of putting a fence up to keep the children in the yard I guess. Everyone would stop to ask if we put the fence up to keep the cats in the yard? Finally my wife hung a sign on the fence that said drive slowly we love our cats. It seemed to work because we didn't have to answer anymore question. And of course we had more time to enjoy watching out children play in their fenced in yard...

THE OLD WELL THAT WAS FUN.....

THE OLD WELL THAT WAS FUN.....
--Every  so often, usually after a rough spot or two I'll look at my wife when things start to return to normal and whisper," Well that was fun." And then of course we'll both start laughing like a couple of old fools.
--It's not much but it sort of breaks the ice and lets of a little of the pressure of the last few days and that's what really counts. Other wise we'd both probably go whack a doodle crazy chasing our tails and howling at the moon cursing the universe and all it entails.
--And besides a good laugh can go along ways especially when your knee deep in muck and mire, or just coming out of a rough patch.
--Of course my wife has sort of gotten used to my refusal to follow the norm after all these years so we find it a lot easier to crack a smile and have a chuckle or two when the chips are down, or were just cleaning up the mess of a rough patch.
--I guess even a old pink hat wearing fool can learn a few things over the years if he keeps plugging along.....

CATTAILS AT SUNSET....04/24/16

--Watching the sunset is almost as nice as watching it rise. There’s something kind of quieting about the whole affair.
--Usually I take a few moments to watch each, it's one of the many blessing that provide a mental recharge. And if there’s one thing that's very useful in these days of the continuing hustle and bustle. It's a mental recharge.
--Watching the sun slowly going down and setting the cattails afire with it dimming glow is the perfect end to a day....

CHANGING HEADLIGHTS.... 05/09/15

--Changing headlights in a car used to be pretty simple. These days you have to have tiny little spider monkey hands and be more flexible than I‘ll ever be. And then it'll probably still be a job.
--When my wife told me one of her headlights in her car were out I figured no problem.
--Boy was I fooled. Buying the dang fool headlight was the easiest part. Trying to put a fat ham fist into a hole meant for a spider monkey big problem. I worked at it for bout a hour till my wife came out and asked if I needed help.
--I explained what it was I was trying to do. She smiled and said "let me try." of course she got the dang fool bulb in in two seconds. The dang fool was problem watching me for a hour laughing it up with her little tiny hands....

CHECKING THE MAIL....08/29/16

--If it wasn't for the 75ft driveway I image checking the mail could be down right fun, especially on a nice day. The rest of the time it's a bit of a pain in the neck.
--Today happened to be a rather nice day so I ambled of to check the mail. Of course the wing nut gang decided to follow. But that's only because they figured there was a way to have some fun with me.
--Of course when we got close to the road the little darling hung back, I guess they figured out it's not the best place to be.
--On the way back up the house I was going through the mail and found a tiny mouse curled up in between the envelopes.
--Well I jumped and in the process the mail went flying along with the tiny mouse. Needles to say the wing nuts {Squash, Buddy, Puffy ,and Oreo} noticed the mess and came over to check things out.
--When they spotted the mouse it turned into a free for all. I will say one thing they sure put a lot of effort into trying to catch that little fella. It would of been nice if the little whack a doodles would of given me a hand rounding up the dang fool mail, but I guess when your a dang fool cat you do have your priorities.
--By the time I reached the house they showed up empty handed and full of mischief.
-- I will have to say checking the mail has turned into a daily event for those fools. I’m just hoping tomorrow brings no little surprises

Recycling the news? 11/30/14

--Making thing's stretch seems to be a full time preoccupation lately. Trying for better or worse to make thing's last as long as possible before finally letting it go.
--There's only so much you can do with food supplies, trying for the lest amount of waste. And then trying to find a use for the waste if possible. You know left over night.
--Appliances are hard. Because nothing seems to last as long as it used to. Thanks to the internet and a ready supply of information it is possible to find ways to repair some stuff. But major appliances are a different story. Your more or less at the mercy of the market place. Because again nothing's seems to be built to last anymore.
--It used to be you could save money doing some repair on you car yourself. But these days even those repairs have become so complicated that you need to go to a garage to have them done.
--There are still some home repair you can do so far, but who knows how long it'll be before they figure out how to make them beyond mortal man to figure out.
--I guess what I'm trying to say recycling is a way of life for most people. You could say our survival depends on it. But is it really necessary to recycle the news.
--I means sometimes it seems like some people get stuck on one topic and just won't let it go. It seems to me it's awfully big word out there, and I'm sure there’s a lot going on. Maybe they should try looking around little. I don't know about anybody else but I know I'd like to hear about it once in awhile...

SOMEBODIES GOT TO PAY.... 10/10/15

--Walking through a store these day’s, is worse than walking through a field with a flock of locusts. The constant chatter of the prices going up is a mind bending experience.
--The dang fool notion that it's a fact of life is a conundrum that seems to be running a muck. When the simple solution would be to stop encouraging this type of milk the people for all their worth mentality.
--If enough people stopped buying into the dang fool notion and stopped buying those thing's with such unstable prices for one day to the next. Perhaps the prices would flat line for a bit or at lest remain stable enough for more than a few days.
--But until that happens it seam’s were always going to have these type's of shenanigans.....

SUNRISE IN THE WOODS.... 09/07/15

--When it comes to brains I’ve never been accused of having a full bucket. So it was with my idea to enjoy sunrise in the woods.
--Trudging through the woods can be fun, in the wake of day. But in the predawn hour's a tad tricky using a cane and lugging coffee. Luckily for me I’d all ready left a serenity chair where I planned to sit and wait for the sun.
--After a few missteps, and some dang fool branches I finally made it to my chair. Of course the bug's and other creepy crawly were only to happy to keep me company while waiting for the sun.
--But I will say one thing watching the sun slowly filter through the branches overhead. Was well worth it. There something about a sunrise no matter where you happen to be that just set's the heart a flutter. Of course the bug's made sure to remind it was best not to hang around. So I quickly got the Sam hill out of there before they reduced me by a few more pounds.....

HERE WE GO AGAIN.....

--For some reason it seems with each passing year another in a long line of something special comes along to remind us just how stupid we were in our youth. But I suppose that's the price we pay for the climb on this mountain called life.
--I do have to admit at times it gets to be a bit much keeping all those dang fool balls in the air, but it really is amazing what you can used to I guess.
--And of course not letting the whole thing keep you down is a constant battle. One that needs more patience than a old pink hat wearing fool seems to process at times.
--But guess that's why the old morning sunrise, provides such a mental recharge....

PAINTING WITH SHADOWS.....

--Watching the sunrise, in the early morning I'm always amazed at mother nature's ability to paint a pretty picture with half light and shadows.
--In a lot of ways I find it a little reminder to make the most of what I've got I guess, but there isn't a morning I haven't walking away from such a sight doing just that.
--Finding the little reminders in daily life to give inspiration to the days ups and downs is something I've always tried to share with my children, which in this whack a doodle world seems to be getting harder and harder to do.
--But the funny thing about life with a little patience we'll usually be given a peek or two at the pretty pages if we're keeping a eye out.....

MOWING AROUND STUMPS..... 06/14/15

--It's a pain in the neck mowing around stumps. Especially if they are close to the ground and the grass is quite tall. It tends to put a damper on the day if you misstep and run one over. It sort of like dealing with whack a doodle’s. You know there out there you just try to make every encounter as painless as possible. Sometimes it works sometimes not so much.
--Personally I think it would be so much easier if whack a doodles would wear a sign but I guess it doesn't work that way in life. My wife keeps pointing it out to me. I’ve got nothing against anybody I just wish it wasn't so dang burn hard to keep from running into these people. And it's usually at the worse time. When you least expect it.
--Like four way stops where nobody can remember what in Sam hill a stop sign means. Or when your checking your mail and feel the breeze from a pickup truck’s mirror on your check as it passes by. Now I know how the dang fool animals feel when they get to close to the road. Or better yet leaving a grocery store and almost being run over by somebody going way to fast in a parking lot.
--It's getting to be an adventure just leaving your dang fool driveway each time. I suppose it could be worse they could stop for a visit. Come to think of it I do have to hang up a new mailbox every once in awhile. And we did have somebody pull in the driveway totally miss the driveway and take out a row of lilacs looking for our neighbors. Not to mention the few times our neighbor forgot where in Sam hill his driveway was and drove through the front yard and out our driveway.
--I guess it could be worse. At least all we have to worry about are whack a doodle crows dropping from the sky....

OUT IN THE COLD.... 10/25/16

--The difference between a warm room and a cold one is usually a couple of degrees or steps.
--It's amazing really when you think about it, just how much comfort lies in those couple of degrees or steps.
--For some reason it seems such a shame to have so much of our life depend on such a little thing as a couple of degrees or steps.
--Sure would be nice if we could balance it all out and stop worrying about a couple of degrees or steps. Sort of makes you wonder what would happen......
