A SURE SIGN SPRING IS ON THE WAY….02/27/15

--You can tell when spring is coming the cats, kittens and dogs all go whack a doodle.
--Running jumping from table to counter, to top of frig. Then to hang of curtains, and start all over again.
--The dogs are more reserved, when they go out to do there business they roll in the snow like it’s their last chance before it’s gone. Then wait to shake when they come back in, turning the kitchen into a skating rink the cats and kittens are more than happy to play in.
--I guess it’s one sure sign spring is on the way, or just a real bad case of cabin fever. Myself I’m not sure about either the way the temp’s been hanging, but is nice to have a little hope I guess…

BUT IT'S SPRING.... 04/13/15

--A open window and a room full of cats and kittens is not a good mix. For some reason fresh air bowing in makes them all whack a doodle crazy.
The dogs are more reserved. And will actually get cranky when theirs to much of a breeze.
--Cats and kittens just totally lose it. When faced with the prospect of going outside they will run from a open door. But will sit for hours watching and looking outside.
--The running and playing takes on all forms from ninja fighting to jumping of iceboxes, to trying to see who can fly. It's a little weird to watch, and more than a little annoying to have to try and navigate through as the temps get warmer.
--But hey it's spring and a heck of a lot better than the other side of the coin. Which is being in a room full of moody cats and kittens who are constantly fighting….

PAINTING THE PICTURE OF SPRING MYSELF…. 03/06/15

--The garden is full and the flowers are painted with bright colors of spring.
--Oh course everyone else can’t see a thing. When they look all they see is cold and the ever lasting snow. What can I say, if spring won’t come I’ll paint the picture myself.
--No I’m not ready for that rubber room on high. I’m just tired of letting snow kick me in the by and by. I’m finding it better to look forward a tad. Instead of staring about being so sad.
--Call it what you want. It won’t faze me a bit, because I’ll be sipping my Ice Tea trying figure out which flowers to clip….

SITTING ON THE PORCH.... 04/13/15

--Funny thing bout sitting on the porch after a winter of being trapped inside. Everything takes on a new light. Cool breeze filled with the ever changing smells of spring. Car rushing by oblivious to the speed limit. And the clutter of winters final passing. Already the spring cleanup list is forming.
--Of course the list is endless or so it would seem. But best part is finally being released from winter's prison.
--Oh thing's will be whittled down in the passing day's. For right now it's a breakout day. Getting out and about enjoying the day.
--The dogs of course are not happy with the turn of events. Spending the morning with all this nature seems to have warped their nerves a bit. But hey it could be worse at lest it's not snowing....

SOUNDS OF SPRING…. 03/22/15

--The sounds of spring are always the hardest to endure. But like everything else they pass with time. Mean while the fact that spring is here is to much of a treat, to let such little things ruin your sleep.
--Oh it sounds so simple, but in fact can be a very big dimple if allowed to intrude. On what little sleep we can achieve.
--Riding the storm is about all you can do. Another test of time provided for us to endure. The rewards are there when we make it through. Getting there is half the fun.
--Doesn’t sound like much of a plan. But it’s about all you can do I guess....

SPRING CLEANUP….03/27/15

--With melting snow comes reminder’s of thing’s buried but not forgotten. It’s one of the little mysteries of spring, that I find quite fun.
--Wondering around the mud filled yard making a list of all the little things that need to be done. Are one of the thing’s that make the coming season so much fun.
--It’s amazing what you find sometimes. And of course it can be over whelming if taken out of context. But no matter what they all find their way on a list of things to do in the coming months.
--Of course everyone thinks I’m a tad goofy bout the whole process. But for me the routine works and it lets me get a jump on the spring cleanup….

SPRING FILLED CHEER….02/27/15

--It’s almost time again, it won’t be much longer. Pretty soon this will all be melted and gone away.
--The ground will of course be a mess for awhile, but then the first few flowers will break through making it all worth while.
--Filled away as winter gone past, to be remembered as the winter we had a hard time with.
--But then it won’t really matter because spring will be here bringing with it spring filled cheer…

That first flower of spring...01/11/15

--There's a change in the air. If you listen you can hear it faintly on the cool breeze blowing across the land. I know it's early yet but the whisper is there. Ever so faintly.
--And what is you might ask? Why spring is coming of course.
--Yeah I know were in the middle of winter, and I’m talking about spring. But hey it sure beats complaining about just how cold it is. Or it’s going to get. And when and if the next blast of freezing arctic wind is going to come and freeze the other side of my face.
--I can't help but smile at the delight on my daughter’s face every spring when that first flower fight’s it’s way up threw the snow encrusted lawn. Or how we both sit there and giggle in February when the goofy lilac tree’s in the front yard start to bloom .
--My wife gives us same look every year, like you fools think you’ve never seen flowers before. But to be honest we don’t care. Because every year we do the same little dance spring is coming ,spring is coming. Yes were older now but we still find the time to do the dance….

IT'S JUST ONE OF THOSE THING'S....

--Some cats are happy with what ever attention they can get good or bad. Usually with a little patience you can put them on the right track, and make sure they strive for positive attention.
--Of course there's always those wing nuts who will take what ever they can get. And don't seem to be happy unless you are  really going whack a doodle crazy trying to get them to be good.
--In some way's I've found cats to be a lot like some people I've met, which is strange but sadly true. Sort of makes you wonder.....

WATCHING THE FLOWERS GROW IN MY SNOW FILLED FRONT YARD… 03/05/15

--The windows filled with white crested waves of frozen snow. But this morning theirs a difference in the air. A warm gentle breeze coming from the south west. With promise’s of a trend.
--It’s not much but hey, it sure feels better than what’s been coming as of late and I for one will take what I can get.
--My wife thinks I could take a tread and spin a blanket out of it. If I set my mind to it. Perhaps she’s right. I never could see much sense wallowing around singing the blues, when it’s much easier to try and put a positive spin on things.
--The facts are winter’s just about done. Spring is just about here, and in my mind I can already see the flowers growing out there in my snow filled yard. It’s all in how you look at it I guess…

THE UNPROMISED ROSE GARDEN.... 05/27/15

--So often I hear why are things so hard. And my response is why shouldn't they be. Maybe it's just me but I don't ever remember being promised a rose garden anywhere along the way.
--In fact most times it seems as if the universe goes out of it's way to dump a few extra pounds of dirt in my path to stumble over.
--Of course when I was quite younger I would wail the woe's of me. And how the universe was out to get me. As I got older I finally realized that yes sometimes bad things happen to good people. How we deal with it and come to terms with that fact is what makes it bearable.
--The rose garden everyone worries about never achieving must be first tilled in the follow fields of our mind. I guess it's all in how you look at it....

STICKING IT THROUGH…. 07/03/15

--Somebody once said sometimes you have to burn your bridges behind you, because some people have a tendency to want to go back when the going got too tough. And if you burned your bridges behind you wouldn't be able to go back.
--I always had the opinion that it seemed kind of stupid to burn a perfectly good bridge, and it was always best to keep your options open.
-- As far as sticking things through having a bridge at your back has nothing to do with the ability of being able to see things through to the end. That had more to do with the mental attitude of concentrating on the finish and not the dang fool steps it took to get there.
--The thing about the whole process is being trapped in the drudgery of the steps and not realizing that they are in fact a means to the end.
--Yeah I know it’s all in how you look at it. But sometimes keeping things in prospective means the difference between getting to the end and falling off along the wayside…..

Running from life… 01/30/15

--I often marvel at the people who can spend their whole life running from life. Doing just enough to get by to be considered a functioning member of society and that’s it. And I might add when the occasion arises even running from what little they do do, by an ever ending series of mishaps and misfortunes that most people consider part of life’s ups and downs.
--It takes a very special kind of person as far as I’m concerned to be able to devote that much energy to trying to avoid life and the responsibility’s that come with it.
--It takes all kinds I guess to make the world go round . In a way I feel sorry for them because they are missing out on so much that life has to offer.
--But like everything else in life you can only run so far and for so long before life catches up to you. And then life shows you what you’ve been missing….

NEVER FORGETTING WHAT CAME FIRST... 02/03/15

--Sometimes the simplest things are the easiest to forget. Maybe because they are so simple, and over looked for that fact. Or maybe because for some reason the big things are  what take up so much of our time. Not leaving much for the little things.
--My wife and I try to cover all the bases as best as we can. Working together as a team.
Not always agreeing but trying to never lose sight of the main goal. And we've done pretty well over the years doing this. we've had our share ups and downs but threw it all we've managed to keep it together. Mostly by remembering what came first….

HERE COMES THE RAINS… 03/17/15

--Well it’s the first day of the winter cleanup. The rains are coming. While a welcome relief to all the dang snow. It’s sure to bring with it many little ups and downs.
--Like a mud filled yard. Dampness to equal the winter chill at times. And let’s not forget the never ending smell of wet dog.
--But like things it only last for a short while, and at lest it should take care of the snow banks along the drive way so you can see when backing up.
--And let’s not forget the flowers, that’ll be popping up before long. So I guess it’s a fair trade for a few more days of discomfort….

GOOD MORNING SURPRISE…. 03/22/15

--When at first glance what appeared to be was in fact a welcome relief to what could have been. The day started looking up.
--Of course that’s how it usually works, if only you choose to see. But most times we see what is, and wish for what should be. Then spend the day trying to get out of a rut.
--Not much is perfect in this life we've been granted. Sometimes it's all in how you look at it. Perhaps what is, is perfection in the works and it's up to us to see the beauty in it's contraction.
--It may not perfect and it probably won't make much sense. But if I tried it any other way the day would be half spent  before, I found the rhythm to go on. So for now it'll have to work this way…..

BEAUTIFUL SIGHT'S.... 10/12/15

--Lately I find myself drawn to the over powering realization that even the dang fool so called bad days have their fair share of beauty embedded in them.
--To often we get bogged down in the torment of the moment to glance any further to realize it.
--My wife usually gives me such a look when I’m up to my butt in troubles and then I sigh and say something like well at least the sky isn't falling.
--It's not that I’m addle minded. Or maybe I am. It just seam’s such a waste to have a couple of bad moments ruin a perfectly good day.
--To often milking the negatives I find only produces more of the same. Accepting the fact that bad thing's happen, and getting on with the rest of the day usually gives the positives a chance to blossom and appear .
--I know it's all in how you look at it. But it seam’s to work for me. Since I’ve been doing this even bad days have turned good before the sunsets and that’s what matter in my book.
--Now if I could just get my wife and children to give it a shot I’d be doing something. But I figure sooner or later they'll come around because everybody likes a good day.....

ACCIDENTS HAPPEN … 06/28/15

--When accidents happen the first thing I do is take a deep breath. Mostly to remind myself that sometimes things happen. And to try and make sure I don’t over react to the situation.
--Being human is something we are unable to change, I’m constantly being taught this. Mostly because I have spent my whole life reacting to life’s little ups and downs with all the grace of a bull in a china shop.
--Over the year I’ve gotten better. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m learning or just too dang old to raise a full head of steam any more….

FORGETTING TO KEEP IT SIMPLE…02/02/15

--I try to look at all of the  sides before I form a opinion about something. Whether it's a argument, or a broken appliance, or whatever.
--I can usually find the solution in the events leading up to the problem doing this. And there by solve the problem if it's possible. Sometimes I can't. for any number of reasons I guess. And in cases like that I try to learn from what ever went wrong and make sure to do things differently so I don't end up in the same mess again.
--Now that being said, there are some things that no matter how you look at it are constantly going wrong. And no matter how many different ways you try to do it, still it ends up going wrong. When those things keep happening I put them under the heading of maybe it's not something I really want to devote the rest of my life to trying to get it to work., and try to find a simpler way of doing whatever it was I was trying to do.
--Usually by doing that I find that what it was that was going wrong was in the process I was using to try to get it done in the first place.
--The solution is usually something that was staring me in the face the whole time. But I was to distracted to remember to not over think things to see it…

IT SURE WAS A BIG ONE....

--In the old days the size of a snow storm was judged by the length of time we spent trying to clear the dang fool driveway.
--Now of course we've dialed it back a bit, keeping the porch clear so that wing nut Waffles can go out and do His business is as far as this old pink hat wear fool is going.
--I guess old age has finally flipped the right switch in the old brain pan, either that or I'm just to dang tired of running the risk of falling on my butt, in the snow. It's not like it used to be when I was younger hop back up and keep going. Now I spend about a week or two just trying to get my dang fool legs to working right again.
--Of course having to wait for a good thaw gets a wee bit tiring but it does provide plenty of time to throw a batch of cookies in the oven. So I guess it could be worse.....

A PLACE TO REST....

--Sometimes it's the little things that make the day brighter. Like a bench to take a we bit of a rest on. Or a nice piece of shade on a hot day.
--Other times of course it's the big things that often pass us by because were to preoccupied with the day to day struggle of just getting by.
--Generally I try to keep a open mind as to the days events. Which at times is hard to do.
--But like everything with a bit of patience it can be accomplished. And the end result is a better day....

EARLY MORNING WALKS….08/30/15

--It’s always nice to have company in the morning, while I walk about the yard waiting for the sunrise.
--For some reason one of the children decided to follow me on my morning outing. Of course snapping pictures with her ever trusty camera all the way.
--I think the cats were more impressed with her than with me because when she left to go take picture they all followed. Except Hansel of course who figured why give up a warm lap for dew covered grass.
--It was kind of fun to watch the cats hopping around following my daughter around while she snapped pictures. Each one trying to be first in the parade.
--Of course their were a straggler’s who sort of hung back and waited to see what was up. Not really wanting to venture to far but not wanting to left out either.
--I’ll say one thing it sure made for a more interesting time than watching the sunrise with a bunch of cats staring at me wondering just why in Sam hill they followed me ….

FROM OUT OF THE PRICKER BUSH....09/02/15

--While picking up the yard the other day my wife found 2 unexpected bundles of fluff. That's right baby kittens. When she came around the picker bush at the end of the porch she was grinning from ear to ear.
--Of course the kittens didn’t seem to impressed but they quickly came to the conclusion they weren't in harm so they settled down. My wife petted them for a bit and then started wondering who the mother was. Running down the list of dimblubs we both came up empty.
--So my wife found a cardboard box and slid it under the picker bush and took up watch. Waiting for the mommy to come to feed them I guess.
--I went about my business and forgot about the whole thing until my wife came busting in the house to announce who the mom was. Apparently it was a small black cat my daughter had named willow. And what was surprising was she was doing a good job of looking after the little fellas.
--I guess it just goes to show even dimblubs have their moment's....

REMEMBERING THE SEQUENCE....08/27/15

--I don't know why but on certain day's remembering the sequence of thing's is a real pain in the neck. It's a simple case of first then second and so on. One misstep and everything gets thrown out of whack. Sounds simple but boy on some days it can be a real pain.
--Hobbling along from place to place realizing that the things you forget will probably came back to bite you before the day is out. But it just doesn't seem as important as remembering how to use the dang fool cane.
--Maybe that’s what it's all about putting things in perspective. And trying above all else to keep it simple. Not get bogged down so much in trying to get everything done. But to keep plugging away.
--Either way it seems just the act of moving from place to place takes on more importance than everything else. I guess in the end it's as simple as that.....

WALFLES AND MY WIFE....08/29/15

--Putting it simple the little fool is in love with my wife. When she goes outside all she has to do is call and the little fool comes running.
--Me I have to put him on a leash and sometimes even have to carrying him out to do his business. Whimpering all the way.
--When I come out for coffee waffles just looks at me and then goes back to sleep. But when I get my wife’s coffee cup down he starts bouncing like a fool because he knows she’s getting up.
--If she goes out with out him he'll spend hours listening at the door waiting for her return.
--Car rides are a bit tricky because he wants to be in her lap so I end up holding him. Which is like trying to restrain a octopus with a one track mind.
--Needless to say it's a weird relationship because my wife never went out her way to give the little fool any special attention. In fact for the first 6 months we had him she completely ignored him. She wanted him to bond with everyone else. Which he has but when it comes to my wife he has a special bond I guess.....

WAFFLES AND THE NEW BABIES....09/05/15

--For some reason I’ve yet to figure out cats like waffles. Oh some of them like to torment him like Taz and Squash. But the rest like the little fool.
--Maybe it because he's almost their size. Or he's just a loveable old mother hen. Either way when someone's getting picked on when waffles is out they run to him for help. And when there's fighting he does his best to break it up. Even if it's in the form of barking at them to let them know they shouldn't be doing such thing's.
--When a new baby pop's up waffles has to get his share of sniff’s and licks in. Which is kind of fun to watch because baby kittens don't realize he's ok. So they hiss and spit up a storm. Of course it all boils over and the little fellas quickly realize waffles is alright.
--usually the mommy endures waffles through the whole ordeal. And he finally goes away happy....

WAFFLES AND THE MYSTERY KITTEN....11/02/16

--For some dang fool reason Waffles has to pester each of the cats who hang around the house. He runs from cat to cat and sniffs them and gives them a good checking out. Why they put up with it is beyond me, but they do. In a way it seems the little fool's actually like Waffles, it must be a cat thing.
--Today Waffles got his first glimpse of Mystery Kitty, and decided here was a cat he hadn't checked out before. Unfortunately nobody told MYSTERY Kitty about the whole checking out thing. Because when Waffles went to sniff Him/Her the poor thing jumped about a foot in the air and jumped up on the railing to get away from poor Waffles.
--Waffles seemed a little sad but he didn't let that spoil his day he checked out all the other cats and came back in the house.
--Sort of makes you wonder if there's a lesson in there somewhere....

HANDLING YESTERDAYS LUGGAGE….

--Myself I like to treat each day as a chance to start fresh, and go from there. Yeah I know the mistakes from the past are a crafty bunch and if you don't keep a eye on them they'll be more than happy to whisper in your ear all day long. I usually try real hard to learn from what mistakes I've made, and don't repeat them of course. Sometimes I do pretty good and sometimes let's just say I'm still learning.
--The point is lugging the mistakes of the past is like trying to run through quicksand, darn near impossible which is why I try not to do it. Of course that’s not to say the little darling don’t follow you around, it’s just I try not to be the one doing the leading.
--My wife thinks I’m a tad goofy about the whole thing but she’s pretty much gotten used to my ways after all these years. I guess that’s what makes the whole thing work….

WHAT A SURE FIRE RUCKUS....

--There doesn't seem to be many  guarantees these days, if fact some days it seems there's fewer and fewer.
--But I'll tell you this if you toss a empty box into a room filled with kittens, or outside with a bunch of dim bulb, cats it won't be to long before it's filled to the brim with a bunch of whack a doodles playing king of the box.
--Which really isn't to bad I guess it keeps the little fools occupied, and out of mischief, which is a good thing with cats because the minute you take your eyes of the little darling their usually up to something.
--Of course over the years we've always had to keep a steady supply of boxes on hand what with all the wing nuts we've had the pleasure of sharing space  with. It sure makes you wonder if maybe the cats are the ones keeping us occupied....

Birds of a feather

THE NEVERENDING GAME....07/26/15

--Over the years I’ve noticed a lot of things about cats. Some are pretty amazing and some  well lets just say mind numbing doesn't even begin to describe it.
--As a whole I think cats are pretty amazing animals. Dogs too for that matter. They make excellent companions’ and loyal friends.
--Trying to teach cats and dogs not to indulge in bad behavior. This is a real pain in the neck. And sometimes I think would drive a Tibetan monk to talking to himself.
--Trying to keep bad behavior at bay by keeping trigger’s out of view is ok until you forget one. Nine times out of ten you end up where you started again. Unless it's been awhile like six months to a year. Then maybe you'll be ok.
--Sharing living space with pets requires a lot of patience and understanding. And it's defiantly not for the faint of heart when you have more than one pet.....

LOOK WHAT I LEARNED....04/24/15

--When the children came home from school, with their brain pan’s full of new found information I used to look forward to their explaining to me everything they had learned.
--As they grew older I still made it a point to make time when they found some new kernel of information they wanted to share. And even today when they have some interesting tidbits I still make time to pull up a chair and give a listen.
--I always figured that when I had children this would be a good thing to do. Rather than having to look though countless books and libraries to find answers to the most simplest things.
--Oh I still make sure to explain to my children that there are probably countless books on any given subject. If they want to explore things further. And I’m happy to say they have in fact found quite a few of them and do continue their search for more information....

UNEXPECTED FRIENDSHIP....08/17/15

--Over the year's I’ve tried to concentrate most of my attention on my wife and children. When it came to pet's I’ve tried to stay natural. Everyone had a favorite, and I tried to stay out of the market. Which was hard because we've had quite a few memorable one's.
--Oh there have been a few who have gone out of their way to devote themselves to finding new way's of driving me whack a doodle. But when it came to picking a favorite I always tried to stay out of the arena. For the simple reason when accidents happen somebody has to bury the little darling's. Which is kind of hard to do when your crying your eye's out.
--Over the year's there have been quite a few who have had to be laid to rest. Which was the only other thing I’ve always insisted upon. Be they pets or stray animal hit by a car in front of the house. They've always been buried and a little prayer said. My wife had no problem with pet's, but had a hard time with animal's hit by car's. Especially if it happened in the middle of winter. But she slowly came around and accepted it and learned to humor me.
--Lately on my predawn walk about Hansel has taken to following me around the yard as I sit and watch the sun rise. Most times if I happen to dose of for a minute or two she'll curl up in my lap and watch the sunrise with me.
--Which is kind of strange because we've had a kind of stand offish relationship. The most she's ever gotten out of me was a pat or two on the head.
--But now it seam’s I found a friend wither I want one or not. And to be honest I’ll probably go along with it. I mean the cat dive's out of tree and tries to take down flying birds. I’m really not going to go out of my way to make her mad I have a hard enough time getting around some day’s as it is with having to spend time looking up in the sky to see if Hansel is after me.
--Some how I think god and his weird sense of humor is at play here but like everything else I’m to darn old and tired to keep fighting with him to. If he figure’s I need a whack a doodle friend in the form of a cat who am I to
argue...

WOLF AND THE NEW HOUSE....04/16/15

--Wolf loved his babies, and my wife. Me he just tolerated. And there were times when that tolerance wore thin. After we moved into the new house I guess wolf figured he'd had enough. The children were big enough they didn't need his constant super vision, so he decided he was going to be a outside dog. No more getting run over by children in scooter cars, Or having babies crawl all over him while he was trying to sleep.
--When the children went outside to play he watched them like a hawk caring for his young. When they came in the house it was my job to keep a eye on them.
--The only time he would come in the house was when the weather became to cold for him to stay outside. Then he would lay by the door ,and whine until he could go back out to his dog house.
--Once in a great while he would go for car ride’s with us but most of the time he spent keeping a eye on his new yard. Apparently that was more than enough for him….

OLD DOGS AND CHILDREN....03/29/15

--The old dog doesn't move as fast as she used to. And the children have learned to give her time to catch-up.
--Of course when they were younger they would run until they dropped. Take a break and start off again.
--But now that the golden years are here you can often hear it's ok girl take your time I’m right here.
--Of course the old dog still has her days when she's feeling a bit mischievous, and decides to make a break for it. Then the children have a fit and were forced to go and look to see where she gone. But mostly she’s a slow moving lady who takes her time going about. Unless it's dinner time than she'll stand up and shout...

THE LITTLE THINGS....08/19/16

--Sometimes it’s the little things that have the most impact on a day. Either good or bad it seems they seem to be the little darling's that'll swing the dang fool pendulum just right . and of you go.
--Now don't get me wrong the big thing's are a pain. It just seam’s nine times out of ten it's those dang fool little things that trip you up every time.
--My wife of course thinks I’m goofy when I start ranting about little things. But over the years she's learned to let it go with a smile and a few nods I guess.....

CLOUDY AND HAZY MORNINGS….09/03/15

--For some reason a cloudy and hazy morning is quite perplexing to the senses. Maybe it’s all the extra moisture in the air or the fact that the bugs and creepy crawlies seem to be having a field day and were unlucky interlopers.
--Taking the dogs out to do their duty is more like a contest to see how many cobwebs or creepy crawlies you’ll run into.
--Swinging a cane helps with the cobwebs. But the whack a doodle bugs are another story. Being pelted with the little fools in a real pain in the neck. Just this morning I felt like Gulliver trying to make it back to the house before being taken out by a onslaught of the little buggers.
--When I did make it back to the house I found 2 dragonflies stuck to my hat and a bumblebee buzzing in my coat pocket. I set the fools free on my return trip to rescue poor waffles who was having a mental breakdown with everything. Oh course taz didn’t help by knocking snails down on him from the maple tree….

A PLEASANT CONVERSATION….08/31/15

--One of the reason I like going to yard sales is meeting new people. It’s always fun to strike up a conversation and chat.
--Some people are pretty receptive and some people would rather you dropped your jingle in a bucket at the end of their blocked of driveway so they wouldn’t have to deal with you. It takes all kinds of people I guess to make the world spin.
--When we have a yard sale at our house I always try to be pleasant to everybody. Even the people who seem bent on going out of their way to be grumpy as all get out.
--My wife just looks at me when I plaster a pleasant smile on my face and answer some of the questions that arise, or deal with some of the looks I get when I try to strike up a conversation and only receive the stink eye for my trouble’s.
--Some people it seam’s would rather you didn’t speck to them while they wander around and look. Which I can understand I guess, but does seem like a shame. But like I said I guess it takes all kinds.
--And some people a good day howdy is the perfect opportunity to pull up a chair and have a conversation about anything and everything.
--All in all it makes for interesting days having a yard sale…..
