TWIST OF FAITH.....

--I like movies where fate play's a hand in things, probably because so much of life is dictated by that simple act of fate. This movie had tons of everything fate, comedy, drama, and a little romance sprinkled in. It will be taking it's place in our yearly romantic movie night's.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give TWIST OF FAITH a big old 10. It's fun for the whole family....

IT'S A LASAGNA KIND OF NIGHT....

--Traditions are kind of weird little things that often times hold us hostage without really realizing it. Turkey on Thanksgiving , Ham on Christmas, and Lasagna on Halloween.
--Now I really don't remember what we had when we were growing up on Halloween, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't lasagna.
--When we first got married my wife made it quite clear that having lasagna on Halloween was a tradition, it didn't make any difference if I hadn't heard of it before. I didn't really argue because I figured there were a lot of thing I hadn't heard of and plus I really liked lasagna.
--When the children were growing up they pretty much fell in line with the whole Halloween lasagna thing. Come to think of it may be that's how traditions are started.....

BOO A MADEA HALLOWEEN….

--What can you say about a MADEA movie their FUNNY don’t start watching if you don’t like to laugh. If fact if you’re a old sour puss who couldn’t crack a smile then maybe you might want to try a MADEA movie, they’ll give you a chuckle or two for sure. BOO A MADEA HALLOWEEN good from beginning to end. Of course it gets a little rough when they get into the whole how best to discipline your child thing. But Mr. Perry does right by the topic and shows both sides rather well I thought.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I’d give BOO A MADEA HALLOWEEN a big old 10, it’s the perfect for a excuse to have a MADEA night….

YOUR THE WORST SEASON 1 EPISODE 1.....

--What can I say not only was this show a waste of the 3 min I put into it. I have no desire to jump back in and see where the rest of the episode was going. I really thought I'd seen everything when it came to a show playing in the potty pool. But YOUR THE WORST lives up to the title.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give YOUR THE WORST SEASON 1 EPISODE 1 a 0. Of course I only watched 3 min of it, it might of gotten better. If your willing to take a chance give it a go. The first 3 min were  pretty bad, you could tell it was a cable show....

TALES OF HALLOWEEN....

--Unfortunately the dang fool movie grossed me out about 10min into it. I didn't make it to the end. Based on what I saw I doubt very much it got any better.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give TALES OF HALLOWEEN a 0. I wouldn't let children watch it, and unless you like a lot of senseless blood I wouldn't watch it either. But maybe that’s just me, I'm sure they wouldn't of made the dang fool movie it they didn't think there was a audience for it....

RUSH HOUR SEASON 1 ....

--I liked the movies even though I thought Chris Tucker was a bit much at times. And I liked the TV show. It had plenty of action, mystery, and even bits of comedy.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give RUSH HOUR SEASON 1 a big old 10. I really think teenagers and adults would find this entertaining, I know we did in our house....

NCIS NEW ORLEANS SEASON 3 EPISODE 1...

--I think NCIS NEW ORLEANS is right up there with NCIS. I was really amazed when it premiered they hit all three right buttons. It was almost like watching a NCIS clone. Of course with a different cast.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give NCIS NEW ORLEANS a big old 10. It has plenty of action, mystery, and sprinkles of comedy through the hour. I probably wouldn't let children watch it, but teenagers and adults should find some entertainment especially if their mystery lovers.....

FREAKISH SEASON 1

--I liked the first episode of FREAKISH SEASON 1, it had just the right amount of suspense. I really hope they don't go for the gross out effect for the rest of the season. And I will be looking forward to finding out.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give FREAKISH SEASON 1 EPISODE 1 a 10, I really hope the rest of the season is just as good. I'd peg it as a adult show , it's got a bit of suspense...

LATE NIGHT VISIT'S....

--Being a parent I slowly figured out that late night visit's, from the children was to be expected. And on certain occasion's to be enjoyed, like on a cold night when the electric goes out and everyone figures the warmest place to be is mom and dad's bed.
--Over the years the children learned that not all knocks and creeks in the night were  boogers waiting for them, and they found sleeping in their beds was way more comfortable than trying to sleep with old mom and dad.
--Now it seems were back where we started, except this time it’s kittens who seem to think mom and dads bed is their personal playground any time of the day or night.
--I suppose it could be worse at lest the dang fool dog still sleeps in his bed, and there is something comforting about a kittens purr, if you can get the little darlings to go sleep….

ERNEST SCARED STUPID....

--One of our favorite HALLOWEEN movie ERNEST SCARED STUPID never fails to gets the laughter rolling. It's funny without being stupid, and scary without being gross.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give ERNEST SCARED STUPID a 10. It makes a welcome excuse for a ERNEST movie night and let me tell you that's a two for in my book....

BLOOD FATHER ….

--The only reason I watched BLOOD FATHER was because MEL Gibson was in it. If I had it to do over I'd probably pass. It's not that it was a bad movie it's that I think Mr Gibson should fire who ever talked him into doing it. I think it started with a good message but forgot some things along the way. It was nice to see old Mel but I really think he could of done better.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give BLOOD FATHER a 7, and that's only because of the star's in the movie. I wouldn't recommend it for any body but adult and that's only if you couldn't find anything else to watch....

BLINDSPOT SEASON 2 ....

--I liked BLINDSPOT right from the first episode, it had that weirdness that just spun in all the right directions. It does have a bit of violence, but most cop conspiracy TV shows do I guess. Fortunately they do keep both in check with good writing and a stellar cast.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give BLINDSPOT a 10. I hope they can keep up the whole thing for season 2....

BETTER THING'S SEASON 1 EPISODE 1....

--When I saw the mature rating I got a little nervous, but the only bad thing was in the last part of the show. Why they put it in I have no idea, they could of gotten away with leaving it out, but I figure it was a case of it's a cable show so why not add some immature stuff so people will know what their paying for.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give BETTER THINGS SEASON 1 EPISODE 1 a 8. How the rest of the show is going to go is any body's guess. Hopefully they'll stay away from the immature potty humor. It is a adult show and entertaining, but I'd keep the remote handy so you can fast forward.....

A BAD CASE OF THE GRUMPY'S ...

--Sometimes the GRUMPY'S have a habit of sneaking up on all of  sudden, of so it seems. Chances are there was that one little thing that you've been putting of dealing with, that slowly turned into a class a resentment. Which in turn brought out the GRUMPY'S.
--I love how the whole cause and effect thing comes into play here. Sometimes I feel like I’m, stuck in a giant game of Whack a mole. And the minute you miss one of the little darlings that's when the fun begins.
--I suppose it could be worse at lest it keeps you on your toes, and lies never boring .....

2 BROKE GIRLS …..

--I was really hoping that 2 BROKE GIRLS could have found a way to get a laugh without diving into the potty humor after 6 season's. I can kind of understand why they don't, why fix what isn't broken.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give 2 BROKE GIRLS a 2. Unless of course you like potty humor than this is the show for you because it's got tons of it....

YOUNGER SEASON 1 EPISODE 1....

--YOUNGER was funny in a refreshing kind of way. And I for one am looking forward to seeing were this one will be going.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give YOUNGER SEASON 1 EPISODE 1 a big old 10. It's more of a adult comedy  I don't really think teenagers would find it very interesting....

SPEECHLESS SEASON 1 EPISODES 1 .....

--I liked this show in the first couple of minutes, it just had the right amount of everything to make for a enjoyable hour of entertainment.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give SPEECHLESS SEASON 1 EPISODE 1 a 10. I really hope they don't mess around and screw things up. I will be looking forward to finding out. I didn't really see anything bad in the first episode, so you probably could let children watch it. They might even learn something. Teenagers and adults should fine something entertaining in there to. It should make a welcome addition to a family night of TV viewing.....

HATERS BACK OFF SEASON 1....

--I thought that first episode was cute in a weird kind of way. And disturbing in other way's. I really can't wait to see how the rest of the season works out.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give HATERS BACK OFF SEASON 1 a 7.5. Mostly because of the few things I didn't quite understand, or where they were even going with it....

AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE: SEASON 1 EPISODE 3

--Once again the writers of this show have proven you can actually be funny without potty humor.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE SEASON 1 EPISODE 3 a big old 10. I was still laughing a hour after the credits ran. In fact I went back and watched EPISODES 1-3 again. Of course my wife didn't mind because that's how funny this show is....

KING OF THE SHOES....

--Finding out the hard way that if you want to keep your shoes kitten free, you better make the little darling a deal they can't refuse. Like building a mound of shoes on the living room floor.
--Not only could the little darling not resist but when they got tired of playing the each fell asleep in there own shoe.
--Of course walking around the mound can get to be a little tiring but when you figure the alternative is a shoe filled with kitten treats it's well worth it.....

A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE ?....

--It's 4;30am in the morning you wake up hearing growling and a dish rattle, right away your over active imagination jumps in all the wrong directions. A intruder has broken in and is making himself a snack, or it's the start of a dang fool Zombie Apocalypse. Because knowing is a lot better than not knowing you turn on the light to find.
--Four kittens banging around on floor fighting over a corn chip somebody must of dropped.
--When the light comes on they all look up and realize they've been spotted. Like the furry little gremlins that they are the all make a beeline for their bed taking the dang fool corn chip with them.
--You reach for the light to turn it of but change your mind at the last second. Why give the furry little fool's a chance to sneak up on you under the cover of darkness. You still remember waking up with the little gremlins playing king of your head. And besides didn't somebody say Zombies didn't like the light.....

KEVIN CAN WAIT SEASON 1.....

--I really liked this show from the first few minutes of the first episode. It had all the right things that made me want to tune in again. A some what normal family, with children who were actually lovable, and a mother and father who actually loved them back. Like I said all the right stuff.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give KEVIN CAN WAIT a big old 10. It's a comedy that seems to want to be a comedy, and not try to slide a little social comment into the program. The only thing I found to be a bit much was the fact that there was a bit of drinking going on. But that's probably just me. Teenagers and adults might find it entertaining....

MAN WITH A PLAN SEASON 1 EPISODE 1.....

--I liked this show it was nice to see a TV dad who wasn't a complete idiot. And who actually loved his wife and children, and didn't mind saying it and showing it.
--As far as I'm concerned the show worked from beginning to end, their was so much chemistry it was almost like peeking in a real families window.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd have to give MAN WITH A PLAN a big old 10. It would make a nice addition to any family night of TV viewing ....

SIGNED SEALED AND DELIVERED .....

--I loved the first movie they made, and when they made the series we fell in love with it. And when they went back to making SIGNED SEALED AND DELIVERED movies we've fallen love with each one of them.
--It's not very often when a show or movie comes along that actually makes you feel good and actually makes you want to be a better person, SIGNED SEALED AND DELIVERED is that type of show.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give SIGNED SEALED AND DELIVERED A BIG OLD 10+. Be warned though I wouldn't watch it without a box of tissues. It would be a good addition to a night of family viewing .....

GOTHAM SEASON 3 .....

--I've been a fan of GOTHAM since the first episode in the first season. Oh sure there are a few things I wish they'd tone down like all the dang fool violence and the darkness.
--I think the writer's could come up with a few more imaginative ways of telling a story than by using strong violent over tones and actions. But that's probably just me.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give GOTHAM a big old 8, mostly because of all the dang fool violence. I wouldn't recommend it for small children but teenagers and the rest of the family might find it entertaining. But be warned there is a lot of violence for a TV show.....

SNOW COVERED LILIAC'S....

--I didn't really have to look out the frost covered window for confirmation that it had snowed but I did being the curious fella that I am. The yard was sprinkled with the white stuff and there were a few clumps hanging on the poor lilac by window next to where I sit.
--For some strange reason I found it kind of comforting but I had a funny felling that would pass. But then again getting older does strange things to a fella so it's probably not a good idea to take any thing for granted.
--Waffles wasn't to impressed with the snow but he's never to impressed with any thing in the morning.
--Gandolf sits in his window growling at the snow apparently he's not to impressed either.
--Sort of makes you wonder if the little fool's aren't more alike than they let on....

GOOD MORNING WAKE UP KITTY STYLE....

--Usually I prefer my wake up to be slowly, something that's hard to do when you've got 4 kittens crawling around on your head.
--I suppose it could be worse at least the little darling didn't follow me to the kitchen to get coffee. It seems playing king of my shoes was more pressing.
--Of course when I came back to the living room it was follow the big guy again.
--Now don't get me wrong I think kittens are just cute as all get out, but I really think the little darlings push it sometimes. But I guess when your that cute you can get away with any thing....

EYEWITNESS SEASON 1 EPISODE 1...

--I think it will be interesting to see how this show plays out. The first episode was pretty good, plenty of suspense. Of course there were a couple of spots that I think they could left out or toned down. But that's what you get when you watch a cable show, parts that are added because they can, not because their part of the plot.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd have to give EYEWITNESS a 6 mostly for the couple of spots that didn't seem to help the plot along much. This show is for adults, I wouldn't let children watch it. It will be interesting to see where they go from here....

NCIS SEASON 14 ....

--What do you 14 years and still going strong. Sure there have been a few cast displacements over the years, and they each left their footprints on the show. Making it what it is today. A hour of intriguing entertainment with sprinkles of comedy throughout.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give NCIS a big old 10. There so much chemistry sometimes I tune in just to watch the cast work with each other. I don't know if you could get teenagers to watch maybe if they liked mysteries. Adults should get a kick out of it...

PRIVATE EYES SEASON 1....

--I really hope there is a second season of PRIVATE EYES. I found it refreshing and highly entertaining. The cast was a delight to watch and the chemistry between the two main characters made it even more pleasant.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd have to give PRIVATE EYES  a big old 10. I already plan on adding it to our MYSTERY NIGHT festivals in the future. It would probably be OK to let children watch but it's mainly geared to the mystery lover....

SUICIDE SQUAD .....

--I wasn't to impressed with SUICIDE SQUAD, although I did start liking it more when they started working together. But even then there was a lot I just didn't enjoy. There was plenty of action, if that's what your looking for, and some mild attempts at humor. But as far as chemistry I didn't see to much, but maybe that's just me.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give SUICIDE SQUAD a 6, probably because of everything seemed to be a mishmash. And I really wasn't to impressed with the dang fool title, I really think suicide shouldn't be made trivial by using it for a movie title. But again that’s probably just me....

THE WAITING ZONE..

--There's something about being trapped in the waiting Zone that drives me bonkers every time. Usually I'm pretty good if it's a short wait, you know 5 maybe 10 min tops. Any thing longer and I can feel the fabric of my sanity slowly being pealed away. Well maybe not that bad but I do get a little wonky.
--My wife's got the patience of a Tibetan monk, she's the only person I know who could have a good time watching paint dry.
--Sometimes I wonder how we ended up together, usually when I'm stuck in the waiting Zone.
--I suppose it could be worse and I have gotten better over the years, it just doesn't make it any easier. The waiting zone is almost as bad as the doldrums when it comes to making a day go twice as long....

WET LEAVES AND COOL BREEZES....

--Wet, leaves and a cool breeze make it very uncomfortable to try to get to the dang fool mailbox, throw in a cane and it's a recipe for disaster. All those thoughts and more were going through my head while I tip toed down to the mailbox this morning.
--Lucky I made it without a accident. Of course the porch was a different story, half way across I put the dang fool cane down on a wet leaf and ended up on my but in no time flat.
--It wouldn't of been so bad but when my wife opened the door to see if I was All right she found me sitting on the porch laughing like a fool.
--When she saw me laughing she asked me what in Sam Hills I was laughing about. I smiled and said I made it to the mailbox and half way across but got done in by a wet leaf. Sometimes it's the littlest things that cause the most problem I guess.....

YOUNG AND HUNGRY SEASON 4....

--I liked this from the start, although there were a few rough spot in the first episode they mellowed out. I thought it was both funny and cute, which is hard to find these days.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give Young and Hungry a 10, but I wouldn't recommend it for small children maybe teenagers. But then again that’s just me....

THE IRRESISTIBLE BLUEBERRY FARM......

--I have to admit it was the title that brought me to this movie, I really like Blueberries. Of course once the movie started I quickly fell in love with the cast and the locations in the movie. The whole movie was a nice time as far as I'm concerned.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give The IRRESISTIBLE BLUEBERRY FARM  a big old 10. It is definitely going a movie we watch again.....

THE FLASH SEASON 3

--I like the fact that they got the 90's Flash actor on in a recurring role for awhile. It provided for a balance of sorts. I liked to show from the start the cast had tons of chemistry and the story's were made by that chemistry. I'm hoping they can continue that chemistry in season 3.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give THE FLASH a big old 10. I really like the cross over they do with ARROW and SUPERGIRL. Personally I think the whole family would enjoy THE FLASH. There is some violence so I probably wouldn't let small children watch, but the rest of the family would probably find it entertaining....

OUT IN THE COLD....

--The difference between a warm room and a cold one is usually a couple of degrees or steps.
--It's amazing really when you think about it, just how much comfort lies in those couple of degrees or steps.
--For some reason it seems such a shame to have so much of our life depend on such a little thing as a couple of degrees or steps.
--Sure would be nice if we could balance it all out and stop worrying about a couple of degrees or steps. Sort of makes you wonder......

KITTENS IN THE MORNING....

--Funny thing about kittens they don't move any better than I do in the morning.
--I noticed this as I tried to make my way across the living room while they ran willy nilly in all directions. For  fella just figuring out how to use a cane it was a mind bending experience.
--By the time I made it to where I was going I'd forgotten what it was I was supposed to be doing.
--I had to laugh though it brought back memories of when the children were little  rolling around in their scooter cars. It got so bad I actually had to plan each step of the day.
--Which really wasn't a bad thing, it's just we as human being don't like to think that hard if we can help. Sort of makes you wonder if everyone needs a few kittens running around....

INTO THE WOODS....

--I was surprised by this movie mostly because even though it's a musical they didn't get bogged down in the music, they still found time to tell a engaging story that kept every ones attention.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd have to give INTO THE WOODS a big old 10. In fact when it was over you couldn't help but Hum a couple of the tunes from the movie....

JEAN CLAUDE VAN JOHNSON SEASON 1 EPISODE 1

--It was nice to see Jean Claude Dame again. As far as his TV show I'm waiting for episode 2 to find out just where the Sam Hill their going with this.
From what I saw it looks like it could be allot of fun, the first episode was, as far as the rest I guess it's a wait and see kind of thing.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd have to JEAN CLAUDE VAN JOHNSON  a 9.5 because it was a little choppy in spots. I wouldn't recommend it for small children but the rest of the family should enjoy it .

ONCE UPON A TIME SEASON 6....

--When I first heard about this show I figured it was just a way for Disney to rework some of their films for more sales. Now after 5 season I still think that but wow what a ride. Even though in the back of your mind you know your being played with it doesn’t really matter that much because the show is so addicting when the new episode is over we usually go back and watch some old ones until the next new one. During the summer we usually have a ONCE UPON A TIME marathon so we're ready for the new season. Trying to pick a favorite character is to hard because the chemistry on this show makes it impossible.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give ONCE UPON A TIME a big old 10. It's a perfect family night member as far as I'm concerned....

WESTWORLD SEASON 1

--5 minutes into this show I was a fan, the atmosphere, the chemistry , and the acting all blend together so much so when the credits start rolling you actually watch them to. So far the series has been a perfect compliment to the movie, and in some ways even surpasses the movie in allot of areas. Of course personally I think they could tone down some of the shenanigans and still have a compelling story.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd have to give WESTWORLD a big old 10. It's not for children though which makes it kind of sad. But adults should find some entertainment for a hour....

ELEMENTARY SEASON 5

--I've been a fan of Elementary from the first episode. The conflict between Homes and Watson makes for some very exciting dialog.  And casting a women as Watson was a stroke of genius as far as I'm concerned. The show still works after 4 very entertaining season's and I'm hoping for more with season 5.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd have to give ELEMENTARY a big old 10. It's makes for a very entertaining hour....

THE OLD SHOE EFFECT.....

--Every once in awhile when you start to feel like a old shoe, I always try to remember it's the old shoe's that have seen the most of what life has to offer. And of course learned from some pretty foolish mistakes.
--When it comes right down to it I prefer my old shoe's over the new squeaky ones who have yet to worn in. There much more comfortable, and make for better walking because I know what to expect from them.
--It's not much but when I start feeling like a old shoe I try to remember some of the old shoe's I've know, and some of the places and things we'd been through.
--It really is amazing how a old pair of shoe will make you feel in the long run.....

WHO'S THAT TAPPING ON THE WINDOW....

--The, only problem with having lilacs planted so close to the house is on a windy night they tap the window and start Waffles to barking. Not that Waffles needs a excuse to bark any thing will do.
--Gandolf, gets a little excited when he hears the knocking I guess he figures somebody's trying to get his attention, because he spends most of the night meowing at the window.
--Now if the two goof balls would get it through their heads that it's just the wind things might be a tad quieter. But I don't see that happening anytime soon.
--For the time being I'll leave the little whack a doodles to their fun and hope for a quiet night I guess.....

MORTDECAI…..

--The only bad thing I have to say about this movie is it wasn't long enough. When the final credits started rolling I was still laughing, which is probably a good thing. MORTDECAI was funny from beginning to end. The cast was perfect.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give MORTDECAI a big old 10. I wouldn't let small children watch it but the rest of he family might get a laugh or two from it.....

MISS PEREGRINE'S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN.....

--I enjoyed this movie until the bad guys showed up. Then it started to go down hill for me. But that's probably just me. There was allot about this movie and not to much I didn't so I guess it balanced out in the end.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd have to give MISS PEREGRINE'S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN a 8. Mostly for the graphicness of the bad guys. I really wouldn't recommend this movie for small children, the rest of the family would probably enjoy it. For all the drama they did keep the plot moving so it never really got bogged down.....

BOUND AND BABYSITTING ....

--When we watched this movie I told my wife this one was going into our yearly romantic movie festival. It was both cute and loaded with chemistry right from the start. Oh, there were a few rough spots where you were waiting for people to wake up and smell the rose's. But thankfully they didn't drag it out to long.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give BOUND AND BABYSITTING a it old 10. It's fun for the whole family .....

NINE LIVES….

--With all the big names attached to this movie it was the cats who stole the show. Even though the rest of the cast was pretty good to in my book.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd have to give this movie a 10+. This would be a good movie fro family night if that was still a thing....

FOGGY RAIN COVERED WINDOWS....

--Running the gauntlet of baby kittens on the way to the dang fool coffee pot is not much fun. But actually your own dang fool fault for breaking the first rule of survival at the house of Whack a doodle, always keep a cold cup of coffee next to the bed. You just never know when chicken little mode might start, it pays to be prepared.
--It's a bit chilly the windows are covered with fog, with fits with your mind set unfortunately. Crying baby's will do that to a fella.
--Now opening a window when it's raining out isn't normally a good idea unless you like getting wet. But opening a window behind a big old lilac bush isn't really that bad because the Bush blocks most of the rain.
--Of course if you were expecting a fresh morning rain smell, it's a little disappointing, it's more like a wet smelly dog smell. But you really don't mind between the coffee and the cool damp breeze you might stand a chance of waking up before it's time to venture back into the living room with those dang fool whack a doodle kittens....

A SHAKE AND BAKE KIND OF DAY.....

--There's something about a house full of baby kittens that tends to throw even the best schedule off.
--Maybe it's all that cuteness, or the fact they just can't figure out when bed time is.
--What ever it is, it's done a number on the old schedule. Turning everything into a shake and bake day.
--Not that I mind myself, the cuteness more than makes up for any turmoil. And there's nothing better to boost the spirits than watching a bunch of Whack a doodle kitten's running about....

LOVE ON A LIMB.....

--With any movie the cast is the biggest part, if you get the feeling there isn't much chemistry is kind of hard to watch.
--Love on a Limb had chemistry to spare right from the start. And the ending was a two for in my book.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give Love on a Limb a 10. It's fun for the whole family.....

PUMPKIN WARS....

--Pumpkin Wars, was a enjoyable movie from start to finish. It was even a little corny in spots but that was OK because all the fall colors more than made up for it.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd have to say I'd give it a big old 10. Just what you need on a rainy fall night.....

THE GOLDBERG'S SEASON 4 EPISODE 1....

---After watching the first episode I was hooked. It was almost like a family reunion without really being there. And the casting of George Segal as the Grandfather was a stroke of genius as far as I'm concerned.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give The Goldberg's, a 10. The yelling gets a little old but you learn to go with it, because everything else is just so funny.....

THERE'S NEVER A GOOD TIME.....

--It seems Alien cat has it in for poor old Puffy, you'd think on a cold damp and rainy day he could think of something better to do than chase poor old Puffy around. But apparently not because that's what he's been doing all morning.
--Puffy doesn't seem the lest to fazed by the whole thing in fact he seemed to be enjoying it. Go figure I guess it's a cat thing.
--The rest of the cats are all huddled in Waffles old dog house my wife moved up on the porch. The seem to know when to get out of the rain.
--I guess there's never a good time to stand in the rain unless your a whack a doodle cat.....

THE JULIUS HOUSE:AN AURORA TEAGARDEN MYSTERY....

--I was really happy when Hallmark started making Mystery movies, it was a nice little break from the rest of their features. The Aurora Teagarden, Mysteries  have been some of my favorite's. The cast has a chemistry that makes the movies all the more enduring.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd have to give The Julius House a 10. It's fun for the whole family, if you can pry the little darlings away from their do dad's long enough.....

MACGYVER, SEASON 1 2016

--Watching this version of MACGYVER was a bit like having been there done that sort of thing. At least until the opening credits were over, then it was a wild little ride of renewed freshness that was over just to darn quick.
--Now don't get me wrong I'll always have a special place in my heart for the original, but now there'll another on the shelf right next to it.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give MACGYVER a 10, it's a definitely fun for the whole family.....

THE RANCH: SEASON 1

--To be honest I only started watching The Ranch was because I found out Sam Elliott was in it. After the first episode I fell in love with the whole cast and stayed until the end of the 10th episode.
--When I found out they were making another 10 episodes I was quite happy. There were allot of unanswered questions and things that needed to be wrapped up.
--Of course after the next batch of 10 episodes there were still allot of unanswered questions and more things that need to be wrapped up. But it did fill a gap and I guess that what good entertainment does.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd have to give The Ranch a 9.5 as a adult show. It was funny without being to smutty. Although there was some smut thus the adult rating. Personally I think they could of been allot funnier is they drank a little less and concentrated on other things beside there next sex act. But they did keep it under control somewhat and that helped to moving the story along. Hopefully if there is another season they'll be able to tone things down a bit.

KIM'S CONVINENCE SEASON 1 EPISODE 1 & 2.....

--I was surprised just how funny this show was, and it didn't dive into the old potty humor buckets for laughs. They seem to have hired writer's who actually know how to write funny.
--Of course you had to pay attention or else you'd miss a few jokes, because the acents were a bit thick. But in the end the extra attention paid of because you actually enjoyed it more.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give Kim's CONVINENCE a big old 10. It moved right along and I would recommend it for the whole family. Of course it might be kind of hard to get some people to sit still long enough, but if you can it's well worth it......

A RAINY DAY STEW....

--For some reason when it's cold damp and rainy a good old stew sure hits the spot.
--I swear sometimes my wife keeps the fixings in the freezer for a quick batch when it's just one of those days when nothing else will hit the spot.
--Of course it's also the best time to pile as many vegetables as you can into one meal. There's something about them being in a stew mixture that makes them invisible I guess, because the children pound them down with gusto.
--Either way it makes for a comforting night, and that's a two for in my book....

A BOX FULL OF KITTENS....

--Want to see grown people act like fool's drop a box of kittens at there feet, and watch the fun begin.
--There's just something about the fluffy little things that brings out the child in all of us I guess.
--Of course in the house of Whack a doodle the mere mention of kittens starts head's a turning looking for the little things.
--I guess it could be worse, at least they do catch mice which is a two for in my book because I really hate setting those dang fool traps.....

DR KEN: SEASON 2

--I thought season 1 of Dr Ken was quite funny. It was nice to see a comedy that didn't paint the father at a raving fool. And actually show the trials of being a parent, and husband. So far season 2 has been more of the same, I'm really hoping they can stay on track.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd have no problem giving Dr Ken a 10. And I'd have no problem recommending this for the whole family.....

SPOOKY YARDS....

--Probably my second favorite time of the year is just before Halloween, when everybody goes whack a doodle crazy decorating their yards and houses.
--It sure makes for a eye full when your out and about. Between that and the falling leaves it makes for a nice little ride.
--Of course some of the houses make me glad my children are to old for Halloween, because if their that spooky during the day , I'd really hate to see them at night.....

A silent prayer from me to you....

WELL HOW ABOUT THAT....

--When the thunder is so loud it shakes the house you know it's time to get up. When you hear the long howl and bark that follows you know Waffles is up and freaking out again.
--When it comes to Waffles there's a list of things the little fool is afraid of. Sometimes I think it changes daily but usually it's pretty straight forward. Just about everything scares Waffles.
--Thunder and lighting really does a number on the little fool. Usually I go out and make a cup of coffee and try to calm the little fool down, while the storm passes.
--When it does everything's fine until the next disaster to come along. It used to be children I had to calm down when thunder boogers were out and about. Now it's whack a doodle pets. I guess the more things change the more they stay the same. Sort of males you wonder....

ARROW SEASON 5

--When I watched the first episode of Arrow I wasn't to impressed. But it sort of grew on me to the point I followed right along.
--Oh, I still think Oliver Queen is a bit head strong, and has a hard time working with people. But it sort of works for him I guess.
--As season 5 starts I'm hopping they can keeping the action going without getting to bogged down. And I'm really looking forward to the coming months.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd have to give Arrow a 10. But I wouldn't recommend it for small children, it is a bit dark at times.

WHAT A SUNRISE !....

--Waking up to a room filled with orangish, red light tends to make a fella jump out of bed right quick.
-Of course when you trip over a coffee table while looking for your dang fool shoes, you tend to slow down a bit while your cursing the people who made the coffee table and the fool's who bought the thing, to take a better look around the death trap known as your living room. You quickly realize that all the light is the result of the sunrise coming through the open curtains. And once again you marvel at the beauty that is the morning sunrise.
--As you hobble out to the kitchen for that first cup of coffee you make a note to yourself sometimes even bad things can turn out all right with enough motivation. Sort of makes you what else can be accomplished with the right motivation.....

SON OF ZORN: SEASON 1 EPISODE 2&3

--I really don't know what I was thinking, I guess maybe I was hoping The Fox Network could made one animated show without diving head first into the potty humor bucket. But like the wing nut that I am I went back for a second shot.
--And of course I wasn't disappointed the second episode had a few rough spots, but I figured what the heck try one more. I couldn't make it through the third episode. I guess there's a market out there for that kind of stuff it's just not my cup of tea. If I sit down to watch TV I want to be entertained not disgusted and feel like I've been locked in a childish portal where some people have never grown up.
--It’s a shame really there are so many ways to be funny than resorting to such cheap childish theatrics’ like potty humor sexual innuendoes. To bad the writer’s didn’t put their big boy pants on when they were working on this show.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd have to revise my earlier one from a 7 to a big fat warning only watch this show if you like potty humor with all the trimming’s. I really hope they can over come the petty childish potty humor and turn this thing around. I think the concept is different and could be very entertaining. But I really couldn’t recommend it as it stands. I wouldn't recommend this to children, or teenagers. In fact if it came to watching this or a blank screen I'd probably watch the blank screen and be more entertained.....
--That said I probably will go back and give it another shot because I think it could be something if the writer’s grow up a bit. We’ll see I guess….

.MARVELS LUKE CAGE SEASON 1

--I was kind of surprised by Marvel's Luke Cage it was actually entertaining and even though there was a bit of violence they graphic level down so it wasn't to bloody.
--Am I going back if or when there's a season 2 ? Probably because the first season was pretty good. Even though it was more of a adult show, I think they could of toned down some of the violence but that's probably just me.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd have to give Marvel's Luke Cage a 10. It was entertaining and didn't get bogged down. I wouldn't let children watch it or teenagers. Even though my wife assures me there's more violence in some video games.

IT'S WAS ACTUALLY KIND OF NICE....

--The weather forecast say's it's in the high 60's, when you open the window your not hoping for much just a little fresh air, it's amazing how stale a room can get into the course of the night.
--After a couple of hour's you realize it's actually kind of nice out, so you why not go out and enjoy the rest of the fall day for a bit.
--You try to drag Waffles out but he's content in his bed, so you figure what the heck leave the little fool to it and just go while the getting's good. If you keep fooling around something will come up and you'll miss the chance. So off you go.
--It turns out it's a little chilly but it feels real nice and that's what counts, the color in the leaves are mesmerizing. And that fall smell is heavy in the air.
--The cats are all hanging maybe their all feeling it to, they've got that look about them.
--Of course it isn't long and you hear the patter of feet and the front door swings open, duty calls. It was nice while it lasted and it was kind of chilly.....

AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE: SEASON 1 EPISODE 1&2

--When I watched the first episode I had the remote in my hand ready to fast forward when the potty humor started. It never happened, it was funny from beginning to end.
--When it came to episode two I was of course a tad more relaxed and was able to enjoy myself. The show was funny without being crude, now hopefully they'll be able to maintain this, I'd really like another place to gets my weekly dose of funny. I can't wait for the next episode to come.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give this a easy 10. And I would recommend this for every one. Even though you'd probably have a hard time getting children and teenagers to sit still long enough to watch it.....

A BREEZY FALL MORNING....

--Even though I know it won't last there's that little tiny part of me that wishes it could. That's the type of feeling running through the old brainpan, when I let Waffles out to do his duty.
--And then there's that long lost part that whispers wouldn't it be cool to rake up a pile of leaves and jump in them?
--Of course reality doesn't take long to set the record straight, as the old knee pops and you try to remember where in Sam Hill you left that dang fool cane.
--I like fall just for the joy ride down memory lane it inspires. Watching the children raking leaves so they can jump in them, swinging on the playset until the suns almost down, and best of donuts and apple cider while watching a Halloween themed show on the old TV.
--Those are all the little things that run through the old brainpan, while watching the dang fool leaves pile up on the porch on a breezy fall morning....

TO MUCH CONFUSION....

--As a rule quiet time is where you can get it in a house full of cat's dog's and children. Sometimes it comes in the morning, and sometimes quiet time doesn't show up until mid afternoon. Being a parent you learn to go with the flow. Sometimes it's easier said than done unfortunately.
--Over the years there's been plenty of confusion as to just how much quiet time dear old dad needs. Some figure if his eyes are open he's fair game, and some figure anytime is the right time.
--Usually when there's to much dang fool confusion in the wee hours of the morning is when things get just a tad complicated. You start feeling like a ball who's lost it's bounce, and everything turns into just another dang fool hurtle on the way to a little quiet time.
--Of course after all the shenanigans over the years quiet time really doesn't have to be much just a couple of seconds and your good to go.....

Bi-polar kitty

A CERTIFIED CATASTROPHE .....

--Usually when cat's misbehave they do it with gusto, no half measures for those little darlings. Dogs are just as bad but just not up to cats with a bad attitude.
--Myself I try to get along with the little fools, but there are some things that really bug me and the little fools know it.
--Most of the time everything's things fine, and then a whack a doodle day comes along and everything is a certified catastrophe,.
--It's as if they woke up with one thing on their little warped minds and that's to drive me whack a doodle crazy before the sun goes down.
--Now don't get me wrong most of the time they can be the cutest thing on four legs. And then there are those days you wish you had a 800 number for a cat exorcist.
--Luckily it only lasts for a day and everything is back to normal by the time the sun goes down.....

ZAPPED: SEASON 1 EPISODE 1

--Zapped, was kind of cool. There were a few parts that were a little bit much for my taste. But it all balanced out in the end. And I must say I can't wait for the next episode, to find out just what happens next.
--On the old 1 to 10 scale I'd give it a 9.5 but that's only for those couple of spots. My wife tells me I'm and old fool who needs to get with the times. I wouldn't have a problem letting my children watching this when they were teenagers. Maybe not so much when they were younger. Based on what I’ve seen so far if they can keep on the same course it might not be that bad. I can’t wait for the next episode….

LAST MAN STANDING SEASON 6......

--There's a lot to like about Last Man Standing, but there's also a lot to swallow. I've always liked Tim Allen and I really like him on this show, except of course for his constant ranting on all things political. I mean if your shooting for a comedy then stick to comedy, the cross over stuff just gets confusing as all get out.
--The whole cast shines in my eyes from cranky old Ed with the heart of gold to goofy Kyle. And Ryan makes a perfect foil for Tim Allen constant ranting about all things manly. The wife and daughters are just icing on a very refreshing cake of funny entertainment.
--On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd have to give this a 10. Even if you have to listen to the constant manly ranting.....

LETHAL WEAPON: SEASON 1

--When I first heard about the show coming out it was like wow I guess nobody can come up with another idea in Hollywood. Even though my wife and I watch the movies as a yearly thing we weren't exactly jumping for joy about the idea of a TV show.
--But when it premiered we gave it a shot and we're more than pleasantly surprised. What we found was something that more than complemented the movies, but was a hidden chapter in the lives of the movies character's.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd have to give the show a 10. It just works all the way around, and when the credits roll it leaves you wanting more which is what good entertainment should do.....

THE BIG BANG THEORY: SEASON 10

--After 10 years The Big Bang Theory has finally gotten to the point where they don't have to resort to fancy words to describe sex acts or parts.
--Don't get me wrong I liked the show from the start, just couldn't stand the constant fanciful potty humor.
--Now they've gotten to the point where they can be funny without all the crude pointless potty humor.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd have to give it a 10. Some of the earlier seasons maybe not so much but they've always had a pretty strong cast. Of course some of the constant banter gets to be a bit much. Myself I think there's got to be more ways to be funny than constantly putting each other down. But I guess it all balances out in the end.....

CHASING LEAVES....

--Don't get me wrong I like the old maple tree, and I really like the fact I don't have to go to far for some shade when it's hell-fire, hot outside. But when I open the door and a big gust of wind blows a piles of leaves into the kitchen I seriously start rethinking the whole leaf dropping tree next to the house.
--Of Gandolf, Squash and Oreo were having a ball chasing the dang fool things. Waffles saw the leaves and dove into his bed and hid, I guess he thought they were after him or something.
--My wife just shook her head when she came out in the kitchen and saw me raking the leaves up. I have to give her credit she didn't even ask, just got a cup of coffee and went back into the living room to watch friends.
--I guess after all these years she's gotten used to my shenanigans.....

FUNNY THING ABOUT AIR CONDITIONING....

--Funny thing about air conditioning you don't miss it until it's gone. Sort of like a lot of things in life, as much as we like to complain about some things it sure is different when the shoe is on the other foot.
--Running around putting in plastic screens built by the 3 stooges and sold at the always sells for less until even they couldn't keep up the lie and decided to take the dang fool sign down store. Is a bit of a pain in the neck.
--Finding fans to stick in the windows isn't really hard since you had them all cleaned and put up for the season, so you knew exactly where they were.
--Of course reminding people that the warm days were only going to last for a few days so they might want to enjoy them, was getting to be a bit of a pain. But thankfully they quit pestering and found something else to do beside bugging you constantly.
--I suppose it could be worse and it is really nice to have to dang fool windows open for a change......

THERE'S A LOT TO BE SAID.....

--Usually when it comes to dinner it's a time consuming thing that drives me whack a doodle crazy with all the dang fool back and forth foolishness about what in Sam Hill everyone wants.
--Of course there are a few things that nobody complains about, and we always try to get a few of those things so once a week dinner can be a simple thing that doesn't require a aspirin and allot of deep breathing.
--There's a lot to be said for those no hassle nights, just having them around the corner helps me get through the week sometimes. And sometimes it's the little thing that help the most.....

A SUNNY SUNDAY GOOD MORNING.....

--One good thing about tossing and turning all night chasing the dang fool sandman, when the sun finally comes up it's like a fiery blessing, because your wife is a sun worshiper and loves to have all the dang fool curtains open. --So when that sun hits the outside of your eyelids it's like old mother nature's alarm clock telling your sleep starved brain it's time to get up and close the dang fool curtains.
--But you don't of course because if it's one thing you don't need after a night of chasing that fool sandman is a lecture about vitamin d. So you drag yourself out to that first cup of coffee and the rest of the sunset.
--After shaking the dew of the lawn chairs and finally getting all comfortable you have to admit for a sun worshiping whack a doodle some time your wife does have a few good ideas. There's just something about a sunny Sunday morning that makes everything feel a whole lot better....

BUG'S ON THE WINDOW SCREEN....

--Gandolf, decided to take my advice I guess because he's stopped trying to play with Squash and Oreo, and now has decided to play with the bug's on the window screen's.
--I guess you really can't blame the big headed fool bug's are a whole lot easier to play with than Squash and Oreo. And a whole lot more fun judging by the way the fool's going at it.
--It's sort of nice when things work out for a fella, he's been trying so hard to play with somebody all morning, I guess he just decided to make the best of what he had.
--Sort of makes you wonder if there's a lesson in there someplace....

POOR OLD GANDOLF.....

--In away I feel kind of sorry for poor old Gandolf, I imagine sitting in the window talking to the outside cats, wishing for a friend to play with and imagining what it would be like if he had one, wasn't what he expected when we let Squash and Oreo, in.
--It turned out they didn't really want to play to much, and the more Gandolf, tried to play with them the more they didn't want to play with him.
--Of course you can really blame Squash and Oreo, to much when they were outside all the big cats were quite mean to them so when they see another big cat they sort of expect the same from him. So sure they are going to be a little hesitant to play right of the bat.
--As much as I tried to explain this to old Gandolf, he just didn't want to hear it I guess because he went right back to pestering them with the same results.
--I guess sometimes seeing past your wants and listening to reason just isn't in a cats nature sometimes. It's sort of sad but time has a habit of straightening things out in the long run no matter what we want.....

THE BLACKLIST: SEASON 4

--I guess I consider the blacklist a guilty pleasure, it's got just the right amount everything to make it a hour I can enjoy.
--Oh, sure some of the violence is a little much at times, and some of the plots can give a rock a headache trying to keep all the bad guys straight. But it sure is a interesting ride. And I guess that what entertainment should be about giving a good ride for the time it’s on.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd have to give it a 9.5 mostly because of the violence. But I do consider it a adult show so I guess it could be forgiven.....

WAFFLES AND THE WET LEAVES....

--OLD Waffles doesn't like a lot of things but wet leaves especially cork his griddle I guess.
--When he went outside this morning the wind was doing a number and wet leaves were landing every where.
--When a couple landed on Waffles you'd of thought he was being chased by a horde of zombies looking to make him their next recruit.
--He ran back to the house so fast he slid into the door because of the wet leaves every where. When I heard the thud I opened the door to find Waffles sliding around on wet leaves barking like crazy.
--He ran in the house and dove into his bed and stayed there until my wife came in the kitchen.
--I guess he was just so excited about the prospect of going back outside he needed a nap.....

IF AT FIRST....

--Apparently Peek wanted to go back outside, because one day when the door was open she bolted and wouldn't come back in.
--Well if it's one thing this family is it's determined this time the went out and brought in Oero, and Squash.
--The first thing Squash did was run over and swat me, and then chased Gandolf, around the kitchen a few times. Oreo, went over and laid down with Waffles.
--Of course Gandolf, not to impressed with the cats in the kitchen thing. It's one thing to talk to the through the window but quite another to actually have to share.
--I'll say one thing it's going to be a interesting next couple of days. It's nice to add a little spice to life once in awhile, it sure beats a bad case of the same old same old every time......

OLD MR GLOOM AND DOOM....

--It's amazing really but as soon as that old fool shows up on the scene the life goes right out of a fella faster that a fire in a thunder, storm. And no amount of trying to spin the news to a more positive light will get the dang fool thing started again. Forcing us to ride out the Roller coaster ride without a dang fool lap belt hanging on for dear life all the way.
--That's why I'm very careful who I hang out with, and who I visit with. Because you just never know when and where that old fool will show up and who will be his messenger.
--Sure it makes it hard from time to time, but allot can be said for not having to spend the night hanging on by your thumbnails praying for the next sunrise.
--Usually a good dose of reality is a good thing, but when reality takes on a life of it's own and proceeds to pound you into the ground like a tent stake not such a good thing.
--But like always with patience and a whole lot of attention to detail we can avoid old Mr. doom and gloom, and his dang fool attacks on our little flame of life.....

THE OVER SENSITIVE MISUNDERSTANDING….

--It doesn't take much to start a misunderstanding, get a room full of people gathered together for a special occasion, throw in plenty of excitement and the next thing you know you start feeling like a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.
--I suppose it could be worse at lest your among friends when the fur starts to fly. Somewhere along the line the line gets a little blurry of course, but it's there never the less. It doesn't make it any better but it sure as Sam Hill would be nice if people could keep that in mind once in awhile.
--Of course when it's all said and done the over sensitive, misunderstanding could have been avoided but hey were all human unfortunately and if you can't go whack a doodle with your friends and family what good are they. You might just as well become a hermit and go live on a mountain somewhere.
--But then you'd have to fight with yourself and after awhile that can get kind of boring......

THE RESENTMENTS OF LIFE....

--Like tiny little gremlins they can sit in silence, waiting for that time when you lest expect it to rear their ugly little heads and start their shenanigans. And heaven forbid they have a partner or two then Whamo, what you end up with is a Roller coaster ride with nobody at the controls.
--Doesn't sound like a pretty picture, and quite frankly it's not, nobody in there right mind wants to be shanghai ed by a bunch of out of control buried emotions.
--But sometimes there's no choice but to bury the little fool's, because we as humans are the most over sensitive spices in the chain of life on this planet. Sometimes we live and depending on the situation die by our emotions. We get upset at the most whack a doodle things, and then to top it of we carry that anger like a old friend until the next thing you know that friend slapped a leash on us and dragging us around like a fool from one situation to the next dictating how and when we should feel.
--Of course resentments are tricky little fellas even when you've thought you've fumigated the little fool's out of your life for good, you find out the little whack a doodle has been hiding the whole time wearing a gas mask and just waiting for the right time to poke it's ugly little head out and whisper, "Peek a boo."
--The best thing I've found to deal with the little whack a doodles, is with a good old dose of the truth, there's nothing the little darling fear more. Oh sure sometimes it can leave you with a bitter after taste, but that can be dealt with a antacid tablet of life's just to dang short  to walk around with a chip on your shoulder.
--It's not a perfect plan, and sometimes you have to ride out the storm the little whack a doodles cause, praying they get sea sick and fall overboard. But usually if your patient and don't try for that dang fool cure all of throwing on the rose colored glasses, things work out in the end.
--And let me tell you there's no better sunrise, than one after having survived a stormy night......

A UPSIDE DOWN DAY....

--Sometimes I feel like a yo yo, with a knot in the string on a upside down day. Oh, you know the one where one day it's in the high 70's and the next it's in the low 50's. Meanwhile your body's stuck somewhere in between. Trying to figure out if your hot or cold.
--Of course once everything settles down it works a little better, it just those dang fool upside down day's can get to be  bit of a pain.
--Over the years I've come to the conclusion that it's best to be prepared, sure it gets to be a head scratcher keeping track of where in Sam Hill the old long John's are constantly. But in the end it pays of, for just that few seconds of brief comfort before the next round begins.
--My wife's gotten used to the whole thing but at first it was a big step, and one she had a hard time taking. But now she's gotten used to living with a old pink hat wearing fool I guess because she doesn't even bat a eye when I run off to find the old longjohns, because I'm cold......

CHILLY SUNNY MORNING.....

--I love the days when the morning sun warms up the kitchen so much that when you go outside for a minute, you quickly realize mother nature got you again, because of being toasty warm it was quite chilly.
--It's the little things like that that makes me enjoy autumn and fall so much. The sheer unpredictably of the season keeps you on your toes to the point of actually having to pay attention to what's going around you.
--Don't get me wrong I love all the other seasons, spring summer and winter. But there's something about a fall morning that just gets to me every time......

A PLEASANT SURPRISE.....

--After a long night of playing keep away with the sandman most of the night, it was a pleasant surprise to find that the day turned out to be rather nice instead of cold damp and rainy like the last few days.
--And yes everyone was whining about how warm it was, and couldn't understand why I wouldn't run around and put the dang fool air conditioners back in. But what would you expect from a bunch of Whack a doodles who have been known to use a fan in the winter.
--Waffles and I went for a walk much to his misery, you'd think the little fool would be happy to be out and about on a nice day. But apparently the new bed my wife made for him has more apeal, because all he did was bark and growl at me as I walked him on his leash.
--Gandolf, was out of his head, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't because of the nice day. He has been whack a doodle ever since we moved the kitchen around a few days ago.
--The whack a doodles outside were quite happy Waffles and I were out, they followed us around the yard and even hung around when we stopped at each of my serenity chairs for a break.
--When we were half way back to the house I let Waffles off his leash because he saw my wife sitting at the picnic table drinking a cup of coffee and got so excited he was choking himself pulling on the leash.
--As soon as I unhooked the leash he was of like a shot with the cats right behind him. All in all it was a pleasant surprise all the way around....

WOW HAS IT REALLY BEEN THAT LONG?....

--I find Holidays and Birthdays , are mother nature's gentle reminder that time is passing make the most of it while it's here.
--With each passing Holiday and Birthday I'm reminded of just how quickly time passes.
--For the most part I try to make to most of each passing day, oh, sure there are quite a few things I need to work on but I do try to make the most of what I've been able to accomplish so far.
--Of course my wife still thinks it's a whack a doodle way to do things, but slowly she coming around to the fact that I never really was much for doing things just because it's the normal thing to do.
--So far it seems to work, and I've found I've had more good days than bad with this way of thinking. And that dang fool question,” Wow has it really been that long?" doesn't haunt me as much as it used to.....

SURVIVING JACK: SEASON 1 EPISODE 1.....

--Cleaning out some stuff the other day I found a bunch of taped tv shows I'd of taped. One was marked Surviving Jack, before I gave it a toss. I put it in the pile to watch first.
--Not having any idea what the show was about or how old it was I popped it in and gave it a look see.
--Right away I realized while the opening credits were running why I taped the dang fool thing, Christopher Meloni.
--The last time I'd seen him in any thing it was Law Order Special Victims Unit, and I remember thinking at the time I wonder what he'd be like in a comedy. Because in Law Order Special Victims Unit he only seemed to be able to display two emotions angry and angrier.
--Well I'm happy to say Surviving Jack answered a few questions for me.
--#1. was the Fox Network doesn't seem to be able to produce a situation comedy that doesn't dive into potty humor.
--#2. Apparently they also can't figure out that not all parents are whack a doodle crazy. Some parents actually try to communicate with their children. And not by resorting to some whack a doodle game speak and listen.
--#3. And last but not lest Christopher Meloni can be quite a funny fella, when he's not playing a angry or extremely angry person.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd have to give Surviving Jack 5. Mostly because it had a few funny moments. Unfortunately they surrounded by weird Potty humor scene's and quite a few moments of Whack a doodle parenting that just didn't make much sense to me. I really wasn't to surprise that the show lasted for only 8 episodes. I hope Mr. Meloni next project gives him more or a emotional release, and gives him a chance to show that under that angry actor is really quite the funny fella given half the chance.....

WELL HELLO MR DEER....

--It's not very often we get a deer in the yard, especially one who seems to have a taste for grapes.
--But like every thing at whack a doodle acres you take the good with the bad and make the best of it.
--When I happened to look out the window while hanging laundry I spotted a deer making it way through the grapes nobody liked because they had seeds taking a bite here and there, until he was just about in the middle of the rows where he settled down for some munchies.
--I couldn't help thinking we'll isn't that karma of a sort, can't get the children to eat the grapes so karma sends a deer so they won't go to waste.
--Sort of makes you wonder what else karma has up her sleeve.....

TO EARLY FOR GOOD MORNING....

--For some people good morning is a wait and see the type of thing, and I really can't blame them I've had a few days like that.
--But one thing I found out was holding a good morning greeting hostage until I found out how the day was going to progress, not only didn't make much sense but really had no outcome on the day. Except help me progress with a feeling of impending doom.
--I know it doesn't make much sense but now I figure the worse is over and the best is yet to come. And of course I don't ration my good morning greetings.
--I don't know if changing my attitude has helped but it seems I have more good days since I have. It sort of makes you wonder......

SQUASH AND THE LILAC PEEKING....

--With the weather getting a little chilly I haven't been getting outside as much as I was. I guess it takes a few days to get used to the change.
--I was kind of surprised when I went to sit at my table and found Squash peeking in the window from a perch on the lilac bush next to the window. It seems the little fool wanted me to come outside so he could torture me for a bit.
--Well I opened the window and gave the little fool a pat on the head, he rewarded me with a good natured swat, and climbed down and ran off.
--I guess he got what ever he had to say out of his system, because he was fine when I went out to feed the whack a doodles later.....

YOU KNOW THERE'S BUG'S ABOUT....

--You know there's bug's about when the children start circling and jabbering about this and that.
--Over the years we've had our share of creepy crawlies invade the place. Usually I try to capture the fool's and release them outside, which drives my wife nuts. But I figure hey everybody makes mistakes.
--Of course my wife figures I'm probably releasing the same dang fool bug's, because if it's one thing bugs like doing is being a pest.
--I never really thought about it but I wouldn't put it past the little whack a doodles....

ASH VS, EVIL DEAD: SEASON 2 EPISODE 1.....

--As much as I like Bruce Campbell Ash vs., Evil, Dead Season 2 Episode 2 was a bit much for me. The only reason I agreed to watch the dang fool thing was my oldest said it was a over the top comedy satire. If that means buckets of blood every few seconds, with a just plain all around grossness, factor of +10 than that's some weird form of comedy satire that just isn't my cup of tea.
--But to be fair I imagine some people probably get a kick out of this stuff, their probably the one they keep making scary movies for. If that's your thing than you'll probably enjoy Ash vs. Evil, Dead to no end.
--It was nice to see Bruce Campbell again, I've always enjoyed his performances and probably will for along time to come. But for now I think I'll just go back to some of the old stuff for awhile just to get the nonsense of Ash vs. Evil Dead out of my head, and remind myself why I liked Bruce Campbell in the first place.
--On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd have to give Ash vs. Evil, Dead a 3, but that's mostly  because I like Bruce Campbell. If you can get by the buckets of blood, and the endless vulgarity, and senseless violence there are a few funny moments. I would not recommend this for children, or teenagers, maybe young adults. But even then I'd probably wouldn't because I've always been a firm believer in garbage in garbage out principle.....

COME ON IN PEEK....

--You know it's time to find a better mouse trap when for every one you catch you see more you don't.
--For some reason when it gets colder the dang fool mice start showing up in droves. I guess it's only logical ever body looks for some place warm when it gets cold.
--Of course you would think with all the dang fool cats that hang around our place we wouldn't have a mouse problem. But apparently the whack a doodles who hang around our place have other things on their minds. Catching mice doesn't seem to be one of them.
--When we went through the list of cats outside it turned into a really short list. Trying to find a cat without a personality problem, who might recognize a mouse if it saw it was hard. Well not really the first choice was of course Peek.
--She loves catching mice and often does while outside, on any given day you can find her conquests all over the place. So it was decided Peek would be the one.
--Of course catching her was a test of patience, but once we got her we brought her in. Gandolf went a little goofy at first until peek swatted him a few times about his ungentlemanly, manners.
--But it finally worked out Gandolf got the kitchen and Peek got the rest of the house. Of course it remains to be seen if it'll work out, but every one has their fingers crossed, because if there’s one thing they hate more than bugs it's mice....

CHASING SHADOWS....

--As the shadows of the impending sunset cross the yard Squash Buddy and Puffy are showing them the way by batting them along.
--I've to expect a certain amount of Whack a doodleness, from those wingnuts, and as of yet they haven't let me down. But chasing the shadows across the yard is a new one for even them.
--They seem to be having fun, and I guess that's what counts in life, enjoying it to the fullest. There's probably a lesson in there somewhere....

BOUNCING CATS....

--I find it really quite amazing how just by moving around a couple of things you can turn a bunch of cats and dogs into a bunch of bouncing fools.
--Usually any little change will set the whack a doodles off, and it really doesn't have to be that much either.
--What's really cool is it also works on people to, change a couple of things around and watch the fun begin.
--Sort of makes you wonder if a bad case of the same old same old could be that simple....

BEHIND THE HOUSE....

--Every once in awhile you see the strangest things behind the house, from visiting wildlife to cats playing whack a doodle games of the weirdest sort.
--When the children were little they played behind the house on the play set and we're quite easy to find by the parade of cats who followed them around.
--Of course when they got older and weren't as interested in going outside we started planting things like fruit trees, blueberry bushes and grapes behind the house. There really quite pretty when the bloom behind the house.
--And of course my serenity chair are behind the house, where Waffles and I sit and watch the sunrise and sunset. They may not look like much but those little spots are very special behind the house.....

HOW COME OUT IS EASIER THAN IN....

--You know it's time to take the air conditioner's out of the windows when everyone starts complaining about just how cold their rooms are. Of course they always throw in a few cough and sneezes for added effect.
--And of course it's of you go to take the dang fool air conditioner's out, because if it's one thing you don't want it's a house full of sick people on your hands.
--For some reason taking the dang fool things out is always easier than putting them in, it's probably like the old it always seems shorter on the way home principle.
--Of course wading through the mind field's they call rooms is a little tricky, but luckily you've had years of experience in that department so it just proves tiresome not impossible.
--When it's all said and done it makes for a bit a fun, but by working together you are able to get it done.....

SON OF ZORN: Season 1 Episode 1

--First of all I was surprised by the show catch, cartoon father tries to reconnect with his live world son. Oh, and he happens to be divorced. It that wasn't enough to peek my interest the fact that the show was on Fox network was a real kicker. My number one question was would they be able to produce a cartoon cross over that didn't dive into potty humor like the rest of their cartoon line up.
--Of course all questions aside after the summer I've had if somebody made a show about drying paint I'd probably give it a shot.
--All kidding aside there were a couple of parts of the show I kind of missed the point on. Like where Zorn is talking to a friend and the friend gets killed with a over abundant amount of blood. And later in the show when Zorn tries to give his son a lift to school on some sort of flying bird. The mother finds out and tells the son no. Zorn gets upset and decides to kill the bird, which I might add seemed to take forever.
--Of course at the end of the show when the moms boyfriend was hosing the blood off the driveway from where Zorn killed the flying bird brought the whole senseless act back into focus again. And seeing the cut up parts of the bird in the garbage cans on the curb, was a bit much also.
--But on a whole I thought it was kind of different and tame compared to some of the stuff on Fox network, and would be tempted to watch another episode.
--I wouldn't recommend it for small children, maybe teenagers, and adults who are tired of watching paint dry. I did find a couple of things to chuckle about, so it wasn't really a complete loss.
--I'd probably give it a 7 out of 10 score, but that's mostly for those two spots I didn't quite get, and saw no reason for there being included in the dang fool plot.

NOT MUCH WIGGLE ROOM....

--Some day's there doesn't seem to be much wiggle room between moving along and floundering in the doldrums.
--From the time you open your eyes until you finally fall asleep, it seems like one giant battle just to keep your head afloat.
--But as usual you do keep your head afloat and you do make it through even though each step was a battle.
--It's amazing what happens when you concentrate on the here and now, and leave tomorrow for tomorrow to worry about. Almost half the burden is gone, it's not much but when it comes down to brass tacks and nails your thankful for all the help you can get.
--It sort of makes you wonder......

PICNIC TABLE HUDDLE....

--Sitting at a picnic table under a umbrella, on a cold damp and rainy can actually be enjoyable if it weren't for all the dang fool cats trying to share the thing.
--For some reason they seem to think everything outside is theirs, and they have a real problem with sharing.
--I suppose it could be worse at lest the dang fool let me use one of their lawn chairs for a few minutes.....

Christmas light's little island's of hope....

A BRISK MORNING WALK....

--Sometimes I get a tad wonky with the same old same old, while it might be good for mindless daily chores. It can also be a step into the doldrums if your not careful.
--That's why on occasion I like to do things a tad differently. Sometimes not much, and sometimes a little more. It keeps thing fresh and keeps me out of the doldrums. Which is a two for in my book, because life's hard enough just getting through each day without a needless trip through the doldrums to boot.
--So when I had the bright idea for a walk this morning I didn't really give it much thought, I just grabbed my coffee and coat and off I went. I tried to drag Waffles along but he just buried himself in his bed and gave me a dirty look.
--When the cats saw the front door open they all came running figuring it must be their morning breakfast. They were a little disappointed when they saw it was me and all I was carrying was my coffee. Except peek of course she hopped up on the porch railing for her morning pet.
--Morning Flinch was on his porch chattering away so I spent a few minutes saying howdy, before continuing on my way.
--The grass was covered with dew and the morning air was a tad chilly but I felt adventurous so I continued on. And in fact even ventured into the woods a bit before returning to the house.
--It may not seem like much but that detour from the normal routine gave me the added boost to make it through the day, and sometimes every little bit helps....

GOOD OLD BAKING WEEKENDS.....

--Every once in awhile my wife and daughter, and even my son's on occasion, will get in a baking mood.
--It makes for a long day but some of the treats are really quite good. And it's nice to see everyone on the same page for a change, so it's a two for in my book.
--And of course the aftermath is the kicker, because that's when it's time to enjoy the treats. While watching a Hallmark movie, and having a glass of apple cider or a cup of cocoa depending on your taste.
--The perfect ending to a chilly fall day.....

CURSE OF THE CAN OPENER....

--Over the years we've gone through quite a few can openers. It seems they just don't make them like they used to.
--I suppose they could be forgiven if anything was made as good as it used to be, but they flounder in that department to.
--Awhile back we found a old army can opener in a yard sale, after we cleaned it up a bit we found out it works a lot better than just about all the hand can openers we've bought over the years. Go figure right.
--Of course when it comes to opening can somebody was thinking ahead by making a lot of the cans pop tops. You don't suppose it was somebody who couldn't find a dang fool can opener that worked for more than a day or two.....

Accidents happen....

COLD RAINY MORNING.....

--Drinking coffee under the old maple on a cold damp and rainy morning seemed like a good idea while standing in the kitchen. Especially when I saw  Old Peek sitting on the air conditioner and Morning Flinch jabbering away from the front porch of his house.
--Of course Waffles wasn't to impressed, he'd been out to do his business and wanted no more of outside. But being the big pain that I am I dragged the little fool along.
--Maybe it was just wishful thinking on my part but old Morning Flinch seemed to perk up a bit when he saw me. And when I started making bird sounds he just went ecstatic.
--Peek came over and sat in my lap when I knocked the water of the lawn chair and sat down under the old maple. Between chatting with Morning Flinch  and petting Peek drinking coffee was quite a chore.
--Meanwhile Waffles ran around checking out at the cats he could find, something they seemed to tolerate and he seemed to enjoy to no end.
--When a cool breeze shook the maple and knocked of a bunch of snails, that ended up landing on me, I quickly come to the conclusion it might be a good idea to go back in the dang fool house. Not that I mind snails, I just figured digging them out of my shirt on a cold damp and rainy morning was going to get right quick.
--Well I said my goodbyes and went back in the house, in was nice while it lasted. Even though Waffles was still shivering a half hour later I think the little fool had fun......

CHANGING STORIES....

--It used to be I lived in dread of a cold damp and rainy day, it brought out the aches and pain like a family reunion. Of course it still does but I guess now I'm finally taking the time to see some of thee beauty I've been missing.
--In a lot of ways some things are like that, we sit around dreading the impending doom we seem to forget to enjoy the life that's passing by.
--Oh, don't get me wrong I'm still not to crazy about cold damp and rainy, but I do venture out into it to get a taste of what I'm missing. And it seems to bring about better days, go figure if only I'd of known. I guess there's a lesson in there somewhere......

AFTERNOON WITH MUCK AND MIRE.....

--I have never been able to figure out why on a cold damp and rainy day everything feels like a long walk filled with muck and mire.
--It's hard enough sometimes keeping up with some of the shenanigans of the wing nuts. Especially when they all seem to be on the same page.
--But when those old muck and mire days come along it's like running uphill with a monkey on your back whispering in your ear,” Why bother...."
--I suppose it could be worse they could last far longer than they do. And as long as you can keep a steady pace things usually work out.....

A BAD CASE OF THE GRUMPY'S....

-- You can tell when it's going to be one of those days, every where you look it seems every one has a bad case of the grump’s.
--At first you figure oh well it just means I'll shine a little brighter, is all. But after about a hour of that you realize what they were talking about when they said one bad apple can ruin the whole bunch.
--So of course you try to hang in there and be a little brighter, on a real gloomy day. Because when it's all said and done that's about all you can do on a day like that.....

ALWAYS THE BULL....

--Sometimes when dealing with some people it almost seems like your wearing red and waving, a red flag because no matter what you do they always are ready to charge at the drop of a hat.
--If it's one thing I've learned over the years is it takes all kinds, and just about the time you think you've seen them all, one will come along that'll surly knock your Sox off.
--Oh, sure it gets kind of tiring keeping your running shoes on at all times and being ready to dance at the drop of the hat. The only other alternative is to stand around and give them exactly what the want which based on my experience is never going to make them happy, and just cause more problems in the end.
--Besides it seems to me life to short to stand around waving, red flags so any dang fool will come charging along.....

FIGHTING OVER THE SUNSHINE....

--Every day Waffles and Gandolf, find a piece of sun and take their little nap. Of course every once in awhile they decide to see if the other fellow has something better.
--It's probably a age old story, and one that's been going on forever, I just wish the dang fool's wouldn’t play the game in my kitchen. But if wishes were dollars we all be millionaires I guess. After awhile things usually calm down for a bit at lest until the next round.
--I guess it could be worse at lest the little fool's only fight for a few minutes, I know some people who have been fighting over a little bit of sunshine for years and still haven't gotten any where. Maybe they should take a lesson from the animal world.....

GETTING A STEP UP....

--Every once in awhile by no great planning of mine I'll start the day with a step up on the days schedule.
--Like I said it doesn't happen very often, so I try to make the most of it by getting as much done as possible.
--Sure it makes for along day but when it over you know you actually accomplished something and weren't just spinning your wheels all day.
--And besides every once in awhile it's good to get the old creakiness out of all the gears before the long winter sets in......

THE RETURN OF THE BLACKBIRDS....

--Every year when the bugs and creepy crawlies get really bad a big old flock of black birds will show up hang around for a few days and take our bug problem away.
--It's one of those things that's kind of nice and spooky in a way because of a dang fool movie and of course a over active imagination.
--But for some reason that usually seems to be the case when something nice happens, in the back of our minds eye were secretly waiting for the other shoe to drop.
--Maybe we should just enjoy things as they come, and not worry about a zombie apocalypse around every corner. But then again where would be the fun in that, image enjoying life instead of worrying about every little thing.....

DRAGGING OUT THE WINTER BLANKET'S....

--Every year about this time you start dragging out the winter blanket's, making sure everybody get their favorite for the long winter months.
--Of course you weren't aware of the favorite thing until the we hours of the morning when they were little and complaining they couldn't sleep because they didn't have the right blanket.
--Now of course they don't complain so much being older and all, you just go through the dang fool ritual because that's always the way you've done things and your to dang old to change now......

GANDOLF, THE FLY CATCHER....

--Gandolf, doesn't like fly’s or any of bug for that matter. But apparently he has a special dislike for fly's.
--Waffles tries to catch the dang fool thing's but he doesn't have much luck. Of course he's still trying to figure out how to catch a dog biscuit, something he hasn't quite mastered yet.
--Gandolf's, quite good at catching fly's of course once he catches them he's not quite sure what to do with them. But at least he tries and that's what counts I guess......

BAD HABITS AND NEW CHANCES....

--Every once in awhile you get a new chance at a bad habit, and the question remains keep dragging the monkey around on your back or cut the dang fool free.
--Oh, sure you've thought about it for years but never really had the gumption or courage to cut the dang fool free. A bad case of the devil you know over the one you don't I guess.
--But like the rising or setting sun each day is a new beginning and a new chance at a bad habit. It may take awhile, because those monkeys just hate to leave a nice home, but if you hang in there sooner or later they get the idea and head of to find some else to pester.....

THE NEVER ENDING CYCLE.....

--It seem no matter how much and how long you clean things just don't stay clean for more than a day or two at the most.
--Then of course it's right back at it again. Because heaven forbid you miss a day or two, the snow ball effect kicks in and then your really in a pickle.
--Over the years I've tried every which way to keep a handle on things, and almost driven my self wacky in the process.
--Now I pretty much take it one mess at a time and hope for a clear path to the next disaster before the sun sets. It's probably not the best plan but it seems to work, as long as you remember to keep your eyes open for dust bunnies on the prowl....

THE LEAVES ARE STARTING TO CHANGE....

--Watching a sunrise is right up there with watching the leaves change with the coming change of the season.
--It seems over the years I've come to appreciate some of the things I often ignored when I was younger.
--I guess that's probably always the case you don't start looking around until the time comes when your forced to slow down and take a look at a few things.
--One of the things I do rather enjoy is all the colors of the leaves, and how they go about their changes.
--Of course Waffles isn't to impressed when I drag him out for a walk, I guess he rather sit in the kitchen at my wife's feet. Squash and the wing nuts will follow of course but for some reason I just don't think it's for the exercise ......

SQUASH AND THE TURKEY BONES....

--I have never been able to figure out why the smell of a cooking turkey drives cats out of their minds.
--Of course with some cats it seems like a short drive, but with other cats who are some what normal most of the time watch out if you plan on cooking a turkey. At least that's what we've found out at the house of Whack a doodle.
--Usually we toss the bones out to the cats after were done with them, it seems to make them happy and gives them something to take their frustration out on after having to smell the dang fool thing cooking for so long.
--I try to brake the dang fool things up so they all get one. Of course that's the plan most of the times it works out, sometimes somebody gets shorted.
--When I went out with the bones I noticed Squash had about four in his mouth. On the way up to his hideout on top of the play set he dropped a couple in front of Oreo, and then after dropped the other two in his hideout went to get some more.
--As I watched I noticed him do the same thing again. It seems he was watching out for Oreo, and his interest, this time.
--I guess even cats get tired of getting shorted and will find ways to keep it from happening . Sort of makes you wonder.....

LONGING FOR A COOKOUT....

--You can always tell when everyone is starting to feel like a cookout. The wife and children start talking about past cookouts and how good the food was.
--The cats and Waffles start hanging around the grill, fighting for just the right spot.
--And you of course get tired of all the mumbling and grumblings and go out and start the dang fool fire to burn some meat.....

DUST BUNNIES REVENGE....

--It usually happens just about the time your ready to sit down for the night. Then whamo, they poke their little dusty heads out and wave peek a boo, and that's when you remember that you forgot to wipe down the entertainment center.
--So much for sitting down, you have to spend some quality time with the dang fool entertainment do dad's. Blowing the dang fool dust out and cleaning what can't be blown out.
--I suppose it could be worse at lest when it's done your good for another month. Of course it also means you'll have to spend the next couple of days blowing the dust out of the dang fool computer's so ever everything will be on the same schedule. But like I said at lest it'll be done for another month.
--That's the funny thing about dust bunnies they may be tiny but left unchecked they sure can cause a ton of problems. Makes you wonder if there's a lesson in there somewhere.....

MORNING FLINCH AND THE NEW FRIEND....

--When I put the old doll house out for morning flinch I never thought about what would happen if he had a friend over.
--When I went out to get Waffles off his run I noticed Morning Flinch on the porch of his house with a friend and the were chattering away. I thought well that's nice every one deserves a friend. Maybe I'd better see about finding another house you know just in case the little fellow decided to hang around.
--It wasn't until later that I remembered all the old doll house's piling up in the boxes of stuff we were saving for a summer sale. I went through and picked out a couple ,one for a house and one for a feeder since our last feeder kind of got wrecked by a bunch of cats climbing on it.
--I put the house's up and filled the one I planed on using as a feeder. Of course I added a slanted cat roof so the fool's would stay of them.
--Morning Flinch's little friend seemed to like the house and they both seemed to enjoy the feeder.
--Of course the cats weren't to impressed with things, but they mellowed out when they fell of the house's after trying to climb on them a few times . we'll just have to wait and see if they get the message......

SHAGGY HAIRED WHACK A DOODLE'S....

--Every year about this time the whack a doodle's start getting their winter coat, which makes for quite the picture.
--Of course Puffy doesn't really look much different maybe a little more to go around if that's possible. Every one else looks like they are having a bad hair day.
--Waffles of course is about the same, except this time of year he starts his hanging out under the covers in his bed at night.
--And actually judging by the looks of some of the heads running around the place I'd have to say the animals weren't the only one's getting their winter coats....

GOOD MORNING TOAD....

--Usually I like my mornings to be quiet, maybe a couple of cups of coffee before chicken little mode.
--Sometimes it works out that way, more often than not it doesn't. I guess you learn to adjust.
--When I opened the door to let waffles out Mr. Toad hopped in the kitchen before I could get the dang fool door closed. Waffles of course freaked out and started barking and snarling. Grandolf, ran over to investigate saw it was a big ugly toad and did a Scooby-Doo trying to get the heck away from the thing. And if all that wasn't bad enough all this was taking place on my freshly mopped floor. Some mornings it just doesn't pay to get up I guess.
--Well first I grabbed Mr. Toad and took him out, and then took Waffles out and put him on his run and then of course re-mopped the dang fool floor.
--I suppose it could have been worse, it could have been that dang fool possum or that raccoon. What a mess that would have been.....

BOOM BOOM'S IN THE AFTERNOON..

--When you see lighting you sort of expect some thunder, to follow. Of course every once in awhile it goes a little wonky and you get one without the other.
--Myself i really don't mind, in fact in a weird way I kind of like watching the lighting flashes.
--Now Waffles Gandolf, and of course the wife and children don't like thunder, and lighting much at all.
--I usually try to comfort the little darlings the best I can and hope the storm passes right quickly.....

THE UNWELCOME HITCHHIKER....

--Every once in awhile when you have the window down a bug will fly in the window. If your lucky the dang fool will fly back out the way it came or out a different window.
--And then there's always the whack a doodle who decide to hang around because it's a lot easier than flying from place to place.
--Over the years we've had our share of hitchhiker's, from blackbirds to bee's, and once we even had a squirrel who ran in a back window and out the other side.
--Lately it seems were being invaded b grasshoppers and fly's. Why I can't figure, but it seems there's at least two in the dang fool car who just don't want to leave.
--I suppose it could be worse, at least they don't complain about the music we listen to.....

GANDOLF AND THE WET FLOOR....

--Usually when I mop Waffles and Ganddolf, find someplace and lie down until the floor dries.
--Today Gandolf, forgot the floor was wet when he took of after the mouse he'd seen.
--He caught the mouse but ended up sliding across the floor with it, and into Waffles bed where he was sleeping.
--The confusion that resulted was short and sweat, Gandolf tried to run and Waffles tried to follow. They both ended up sliding around in circles, while the mouse I imagine was getting quite dizzy in Gandolf's, mouth.
--After a bit they retreated to Waffles bed to wait for the floor to dry.
--Me I just mumbled to myself and kept mopping. It seems if it's not people tracking the floor it's whack a doodle pets. Sometimes you just can't win....

A CAT PARADE....

--Walking outside around the house I'll usually end up with a cat parade following me. Not as many as my wife or my daughters, and even more sons for that matter, but I still end up with a few of the whack a doodles following me around.
--At first it drove me nuts, especially if I was working on a car or a dang fool lawn mower it seemed the fool's were always in my way . But as time went by I guess I started to actually enjoy their company in a way.
--Now of course there's a few who seem to have made it there purpose to pester me when ever I'm outside. I suppose it could be worse at lest the fool's have given up trying to scare me. Now the just follow me around and wait for me to sit somewhere so I can pet them......

WET AND FOGGY....

--As a rule I like a sunset that's full of colors. The whole wet and foggy thing is kind of nerve racking and just not my cup of tea.
--But when life gives you lemons I guess you make lemonade. So not wanting to be a fuss bucket I went out to enjoy the sunset such as it was.
--Waffles started whimpering and wanted to go back inside, I guess red glowing fog, wasn't his cup of tea either. So I let the little fool back in.
--When I went back out the dang fool cats had invaded my sitting area under the old maple tree, so I had to sit on the old wooden bench next to the maple tree.
--It was kind of spooky and with my over active imagination it wasn't long before the dang fool thing started running wild. But I stuck it out and was quite proud of myself until I was walking under the old maple and Squash reached out and patted me on the head from a low hanging branch. I just about jumped out of my skin of course, and almost slipped on my butt.
--I guess I should have listened to Waffles and went back in the house, you just don't know what happen on a wet and foggy night.....

RAINY AFTERNOON RAINBOW.....

--It made for a nice little blessing to look of at the horizon and find a afternoon rainbow shinning away.
--The on and of again rain showers were getting to be a bit of a pain. Especially because by the time you got the dang fool wipers adjusted it stopped raining and you had to shut the wipers of.
--Of course in a couple of minutes it would start again, so you got to play with the dang fool wipers again.
--So yeah a afternoon rainbow was a nice touch it sort of made up for all the wiper shenanigans....

SQUASH AND BUDDY'S WATER SLIDE....

--I've come to expect strange behavior from the cats who hang around our house.
--Today Squash and Buddy were taking turns sliding down the slide on the play set in the rain.
--The rest of the cats were all hiding in Waffles dog house waiting for the rain to stop. But not Squash and Buddy they were just having a grand old time.
--I'll have to say one thing those two are full of something.....

MORNING FLINCH AND THE SNAIL....

--For some reason after a good rain we always get what seems to be more than our share of snails and slugs. Being that it's rained from the last few days I expected a few of the little darlings when I took Waffles out this morning.
--As usual I wasn't surprised to find that we'd been invaded with tons of the dang fool things. To be honest it's hard enough walking on a slick porch with out having the added distraction of slugs and snails all over the place.
--Flicking the little booger of the railing so I could use it I happen to look up and noticed morning flinch raising a ruckus. Unlike his good morning chatter this was a little something extra. Taking a closer look I noticed about a half dozen snails had invaded his house.
--Well while Waffles was of doing what ever the Sam Hill Waffles does in the morning I went over and picked the dang fool snail, of morning flinch house.
--He flew back down from the branch he was sitting on and checked to make sure I got them all I guess. When he was done he sat on his porch chattering away.
--Of course Waffles wasn't to impressed because it had started to rain again and he wanted to go back in. So I said my goodbyes to old morning flinch, and told him I'd be back out latter with some food for his feeder.
--I guess even though it seemed like another dark and dreary day you just never know where a blessing will come from.....

GRAND DISTRACTION....

--Talk about losing your train of thought, when your walking into the store where your going to shop, the wind shifts and you get a big old whiff of the burger place next door.
--Even though you have a list you walk around in a daze for the first 20-30 min because you just can't get the mouth watering smells out of your dang fool head.
--I suppose it could be worse, at least the smells are pleasant, and other than the whole walking around in a daze thing there are worse ways to spend a afternoon.....

A RAINY MERRY GO ROUND SUNDAY....

--When I was young I can't remember being to fond of merry go rounds, and now that I'm older sometimes I can't help but feel like I'm trapped on a dang fool merry go round.
--For some dang fool reason there just seems to be days when all you do is go around in circles.
--Maybe it's the rain, or the impending winter, or maybe it's just one of those things where you have to a few merry go round days so your thankful when a good day happens along.
--I suppose it could be worse at lest there's plenty to do, and will all the circling it gets done sooner or later......
