--For some dang fool reason me and those flimsy plastic containers, have a love hate relationship. As far as I’m concerned there right up there with some of those dang fool twist ties that no matter which way you twist they never seem to want to come off.
--When it comes to those dang fool plastic containers. Between the crinkling and the dang fool little nubs that only a spider monkey seems to be able to open. I know when I’m beat.
--If my wife’s not around I’ll usually just open the dang fool thing with a sharp knife. And then find another container for the dang fool stuff. Providing I can find a top for what ever container I have the misfortune of choosing.
--Because along with all the other mysteries of life the disappearing cover is another mystery you have to contend with more often than not.
--You can have a drawer with hundreds of covers and usually your lucky if you can find one for the container your looking for.
--Even though once a year I go through and match up the dang fool things. Getting rid of the little darlings who don't have a container. It seems I always end up searching until I’m blue in the face.
--Usually I’ll stay away from flimsy plastic container, because I know when I’m beat before I start.
--My wife of course just giggles about the whole thing. But why shouldn't she being blessed with little spider monkey hands she’s has no problem with the dang fool things.....

FINDING THE WORDS....
--I suppose there's a difference between finding the right words and knowing when to say them. As long as you don't use it as a excuse for not talking at all.
--I prefer to keep the door open. Even if by doing it, it ends up coming back and smacking me in the butt a time or two.
--Although sometimes this is hard, because were all human and nobody likes to feel like a doormat.
--I find it's better sometimes to say to much than to have the ghosts of unused words shadowing me day in and day out....

NEW PATHS NEW DIRECTIONS....
--It's easy to get distracted when going down a new path in a new direction. The longing for the sameness of the old becomes so strong you actually convince yourself it might be better to go back.
--Even though you know with all our heart to go back isn't really in the cards. Over time if this longing is left unchecked it could lead right back where you started.
--If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years is whispering gremlins of doubt have a tendency to gather strength in numbers.
--Usually I brake steps into manageable proportions, what ever works at the time. Oh it's not the greatest plan but it works.
--I figure as long as I’m moving forward everything isn't lost. That’s what it's really about in the long run....

LOOKING FOR THE SUNRISE....
--Generally it's not hard to find a reason to have a bad day. That's if your looking that is. I usually shoot for a good one and leave the other shenanigans for others to worry about.
--I figure life’s to short and it's allot easier to take things with a smile than a dang fool frown. But hey different strokes I guess what ever gets you through the day.
--Of course my wife seems to think I’m a old pink hat wearing fool who doesn't worry about anything. Which isn't true. It's just that I don't spend allot of time worrying bout things I really have no power over. And I sure as Sam hill don't let them ruin a perfectly good day.
--But like I said everybody has their own way of handing things. That’s what makes this old world such a great place.....

LITTLE CHOICES....
-I don't know why but even after all these years, I’m still amazed at all the little choices we are given as the day progress’s as to which direction our day will go.
--Why this continues to amaze me I’ve yet to figure out. Perhaps it's because I see so many fall into the trap of letting the most simplest things blow a good day out of the water.
--Maybe it's because in my own case I often find myself walking a minefield filled enough pitfalls to curse the day before it even starts.
--As a result even a so so day is sure as Sam hill better than having to endure a truly bad day. And I usually just keep my eyes on the prize and concentrate on the potential each day has rather than all of the pitfalls.
--I’m sure it's not the best plan of action, but since I’ve adopted this attitude I seem to have more good days. And in the end I guess that’s what really matters the most.....

NOOKS AND CRANNIES....
--I find it amazing just how much can be hidden in those tiny little places. And just how hard it is to get the dang fool things clean.
--I guess it just goes to show it is not just the wide open places that need a good cleaning but all those hidden dark places need a good going over from time to time too.
--Of course everyone gives me a weird look about chasing dust bunnies. But I’ll be danged if there’s anything that corks my griddle more than vacuuming a whole house and 10 min latter finding big piles of dust everywhere.
--Now my wife just smile when she’s asks what’s on the agenda for today. When I mention chasing dust bunnies. She knows just what in Sam hill I’m talking about.
--In the winter time I like to hit the dang fools at lest once a week. I find this usually cuts down on the little darlings. The children have their own feelings about this disruption in their routine I suppose but they usually endure the disruption and let me get it out of my system.

LOPSIDED PICTURES....
--From time to time you need to straighten pictures hanging on the wall. Over time they become a tad lopsided.
--I usually leave that job to the people it bothers the most. Which in our seems to be just about everybody but me.
--While I find it nice that they all can take a hand with the problem and keep it in check. I often marvel at their ability to miss a few of the other things that get a tad lopsided in day to day life.
--But as long as they keep those dang fool picture straight I guess it's not really so bad.
--Now if I can just figure out how to get them to channel some of their energy towards a few of the other things that would be something....

LONG LINE CONVERSATIONS....
--Carrying on a conversation while waiting in line can be fun. Especially if you have to wait for very long.
--My wife often gives me a look when were waiting in line. Which means be nice, and don't bother people.
--Of course this usually has just the opposite effect. I find it amazing how people can stand so dang fool close to each other and pretend they each have their own bubble of solitude surrounding them.
--Some of the most interesting chit chat I’ve had has been with complete strangers while trapped in line waiting.....

KEEPING UP THE PACE....
--From time to time I like taking new paths, it's just the right amount of inspiration to fight of the gremlins of self doubt. And send them on their way
--Oh that doesn't mean it's still not a battle now and then. It just means that tiny bit of change gives you something to work for besides feeding the little darlings. And making them go whack a doodle crazy.
--I know most of it is how you look at it. But hey if you can keep the little darling off balance long enough you can rack up a few good days under your belt before they return making it easier to deal with them.
--Of course when push comes to shove, it's now how the game is played. But who comes out on top that matters the most....

KNOCK KNOCK GAMES....
--While I enjoy a good knock joke as well as next fellow, those dang fool knock knock games can be a tad annoying. Unlike the old knock knock jokes the games are like all games when played to excess they become a bit of a pain in the neck.
--Like tin little solders they seem to wait at attention for our first morning steps. Which is when they start their dang fool games.
--Of course recognizing the dang fools for what the are, often helps. And keeps the annoyance level at a manageable level.
--I will say one thing about them they are consistent. You can always count on the little fools to test our metal each day. Sometimes more than once especially if they get a rise out of you. Then its like having our personal band of fools serenading you all day.
--But like everything else it seems more or less about keeping our eye on the prize and not getting bogged down in the distractions that come along each day....

FLAG WAVING FRIDAYS....
--Fridays are fun because the not only signal a end to another week under your belt but their also a final step before the weekend. Which is nice because once your around their bend you get to start all over again.
--Yeah I know only a old pink hat wearing fool would think there was logic in there some place. But let me tell you without the little games I play from time to time that old brain pan of mine would weave a dang fool basket of monkey shines in no time flat.
--And if there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years sometimes its best to keep the old brain pan simmering on little nuggets of delight. Than to leave the dang fool to its own devices.
--So here’s to a Happy Friday, and a good old weekend to boot. Because the week will be starting before long and the fun starts all over again....

LITTLE TREASURE'S....
--I love finding those little lost treasure's you think have fallen along the wayside. There like little nuggets of forgotten moments in time.
--Of course my wife often shakes her head, when I hang pictures the children have drawn when the were younger. But I do notice she is very faithful in finding a place for them in the scrapbook we've kept over the years.
--The children marvel that I’ve kept the dang fool thing's over the years. But I figure they meant allot to them when they gave them to me so the lest I could do was try and show I appreciated it by finding a place for them.
--Now of course we'll have to find a cabinet for some of the art project's. But that’s what garage sales are for I guess....

SOUPS, STEWS AND LITTLE BUG A BOOS....
--From time to time its nice to make a big old pot of soup, or stew. Its about the only way we've found to get vegetables into the little bug a boos without much of a fight.
--Sure they know what were up to, but don't really fuss. Because they love the dang fool soups and stew.
--Which is a two for us because its a one pot meal and they clean up a mess of the veggies they won't eat otherwise.
--Other than the chopping there not hard to put together. And if you can catch one or two of the little darlings long enough the even manage to help....

LONG FACES AND MORNING SMILES....
--It would be nice if each mornings sunrise was greeted with a big old morning smile, but to often it seems the best that can be managed is a long face.
--Which myself I find to be a shame, because to often if carried to far it has a negative effect on the course of the day.
--That’s why I spend a couple of seconds each morning with the man in the mirror making sure the old fool has a smile plastered on his face before I amble off to great the day.
--Days are hard enough sometimes, and a big old frown lugged around is just the type of simple little misstep that can be more of a distraction than it's worth. So I try to nip the little darling in the butt before the get to firmly set.
--Of course my wife usually figures I’m walking in the wrong lane when I walk around practicing my smile. But over the year she’s more or less gotten used to it....

END OF THE MONTH GRUMBLINGS....
--After a full month of sticking to the straight and narrow, and following a plan. There’s always a wee bit of grumbling.
--The trick is to recognize them for what the are, and let them pass while waving so long for now.
--Of course this is probably easier to do when there confined to just yourself. When the gather strength in numbers it becomes a bit of a problem. Because somebody has to be the voice of reason, and that usually falls on the old pink hat wearing fool.
--Like everything with patience order is usually restored. And the original course is safe for the time being....

HERE WE GO AGAIN....
--Funny thing about dinner time, it shows up at lest once a day. And brings with all the fun of trying to get everyone on the same page so you can get the dang fool process started.
--Of course in the old days it was allot simpler. You ate what was on your dang fool plate, or you didn't.
--Now days it's seems all about choices. Which really isn't to bad as long as there's give and take. And the willingness to compromise.
--When all else fails the middle ground can be found, sooner or later. And the process can be started. as long as everyone remembers the big picture.....

AMAZING ADVENTURES...
--Although perplexing at times I do find the games people play to be quite entertaining. Especially when caught and called to task for their endless manipulations.
--Rather than admit what ever it was that brought them into the light they just keep spinning their web like a spider gone whack a doodle.
--Of course all the while trying to convince you of the truth of the first manipulations while doing so.
--Yup it makes for a interesting adventure watching these whack a doodle web spinning dang fools and their shenanigans.....
IF IT WAS EASY IT WOULDN'T BE CALLED WORK....
--There’s only so much you can do to take the sting out of the job at hand. most of it seems to be a matter of perception.
--Myself I like to dive into the deepest part of the pile and slowly take it down a notch or two. Others I’ve noticed save that for last.
--What ever works I guess. Is how you play the game. I have found by getting rid of the worst tends to cast the rest of the day in a different light.
--Usually this allows me enough fortitude to get through the rest with a much better disposition.
--Of course what ever way it plays out, keeping a eye on the big picture during the whole thing helps the most.....

COMFORT AND JOY....
--Finding comfort and joy in the simple things in life, is one of the greatest gifts given to us when were young.
--For some dang fool reason as we get older we seem to forget that. Which is a shame.
--Some of the greatest moments of my life have been the most simplest things. It was not until recently that I was able to fully understand this unfortunately.
--But like everything in life it seems with a little patience, and keeping a open mind. The possibilities can be greatly revealing if we listen....

CHILLY BUT WITH PROMISE....
--The old day is progressing right along. A little chilly but with a promise of a warming trend.
--Not a bad start. Just the right amount of mix to make the day rather pleasant.
--Sort of nice after the winter of 2015, and even if it takes a turn the break is nice.
--I guess that’s the funny thing about promise's, they provide just the right amount of hope to keep us moving along.....

BLUE SKIES WITH GRAYISH WHITE CLOUDS..
--When the sky finally clears, of the morning sun rise and its array of colors. Its kind of nice to see everything settle into a nice little pattern.
--Of course its still a tad chilly but, compared to what it could be its a real nice delight.
--The forecast calls for more of the same, if of course it doesn't change. But either way it all makes for a rather delightful day.
--Once again the beautiful little blessings of a days potential are on display for all to see. If we take the time of course.....

EARLY MORNING CHILL....
--For some reason getting rid of a early morning chill is like trying to heat water on a cold stove. Probably possible if you keep stirring the dang fool water but you'll probably be there for quite a while.
--Myself I usually crawl back under a pile of blankets and wait for it to pass.
--Usually this works and doesn't take to long. On those days when it becomes necessary, I usually end up starting the day a bit late.
--But like everything in life I’ve learned to adjust. And make allowances for the little bumps in the road.
--Of course the wife and children have also learned to accept them as well and wait patently for the old man to reheat his bones before trying to prod him into any type of conversation....

LONG NIGHTS SHORT DAYS....
--Trying to sleep with a night filled with twist and turns, is like trying to walk on ice without falling. Possible I suppose but it requires more patience than I can usually muster.
--Over the years this has lead me to a whole new train of thought in the matter. Which will find me prowling the house at all hours waiting for the warming temperatures of the day. When I can catch a nap.
--Of course my wife no longer asks what I’m up to. Just lets me go about my way.
--As a result I often start my morning routine early, and do a bit of cleaning. or catch up on my reading.
--It's probably not the best plan, but it sure as Sam hill isn't as frustrating as trying to sleep when sleep won't come....

.OH WHAT A PICTURE..
--Trying to put a screw into a pair of glasses is almost like trying to tread a needle blindfolded. You might get it or you might get frustrated and prick yourself.
--Of course it doesn't help trying to hold a magnifying glass while trying to hold the screw and glasses all at the same time.
--For some reason checking to make sure the dang fool screws are tight each day never enters into the picture until it's to late. And your right back where you started. Trying to bend into impossible positions.
--All in all it makes for a pretty picture. And quite a satisfying feeling when your done. Which just reminds you some times it pays to have a back up pair of glasses just for such days....

AT THE HALF WAY MARK....
--I love Wednesday’s, mostly because they fall in the middle of the week. and are the perfect line between the beginning and the end of the week.
--I know it's all in how you look at it. But sometimes when your grasping at straws you’ll grab what ever it's takes to give enough of a boost to get through the week.
--Of course my wife gets a little tired of hearing me wish everybody a Happy Wednesday. When were out and about.
--But hey I’ve always believed if you share the sunshine when you need a few rays on a cloudy day they have a way of coming back around.....

WHAT A SHAME....
--It's really a shame more people don't take the time open their minds to all the possibilities a sunrise brings each morning.
--Maybe if they did they would realize, days are not carved in stone. And paths can be changed all it takes is a choice.
--Each day is a new beginning like a new book who's binding is waiting for that first read.
--All it takes is the decision, to lay down the old one, and try something else. To often we seem to forget that and keep trying to forge our way through.
--Myself I’ve left plenty of books unread, when the plot got bogged down. And to this day keep a eye out for the coming of a new day. And all the possibilities it brings....
